Suggestions please...

My SO has been working so hard for the last few months and I'm feeling a little guilty. He works between 60 and 70 hrs a wk and when not at his FT job he is doing military duties. I want to do something special for him that will be fairly inexpensive as we are saving for baby so that I can stay home instead of returning to work. Any suggestions?

    A nice home cooked meal, your favourite couple song, a appreciation corner I.e. a space where you place photos of all your happy memories together, candles etc xxx

    What are some of his hobbies and favorite pass times? They to Taylor a special day geared toward what he enjoys.

    Example, my SO love hunting and fishing and being outdoors. I would plan a day to go out on the fourwheeler to a fishing spot in the middle of the woods and have a quiet day, just the two of us... and bring a picnic/lunch so we could spend the day out there. Its inexpensive and something he would enjoy.

    I am in a similar situation. DH works overtime every week while I finish up grad school. We don't have a ton of money so I just bought him a card and made his favorite dinner a few weeks ago. I also made sure he knew how much I was thankful that he is providing for me and our new LO. It went a long way and he was really happy. Good luck! Your DH sounds like a good man who deserves it!

    Thanks for all of the great replies! So of course last night I had this great meal planned out, borrowed candles from my mom, rented a movie, grabbed a bottle of wine (and sparkling grape juice for myself), and our fav tv show in to watch before bed...he calls on his 3 hour drive home and says he is going to make a detour to help a friend finish up working on a roof and wouldn't make dinner. I immediately broke down sobbing since I already hadn't seen him in 3 days. Ugh...tomorrow we are going to get a 3D/4D ultrasound and can't wait just for the hour and a half drive in the car with him.
