car seat issues?

I have 3 month old twin girls who were preemies(2months early). They do not like the carseats at all one always screams to the top of her lungs when we drive and I am tired of stopping every 2 exits. I tried to cushion the seats for them but they just don't like it at all until someone picks them up. I have graco carseats infant, I just don't know what to do . I don't want to go anywhere if they keep this up, and I can't always be chauffeur around to sit back there they have to learn that I can't be back there. Have any of you ladies had this problem?

  • Try turning on the radio between stations so you get static for white noise. And do your best not to get distracted by the crying, because that is dangerous for everyone. Some babies cry in the car every time. It sucks, but they outgrow it at some point.

  • There's a white noise app you can download for free if you have a smart phone.  Maybe that could help?

    Good luck!!!

  • Are the pads adjusted to the right height? My LO screamed until I figured out how to raise the head support so that he wasn't so squished. It made a huge difference :)

  • My LO has been the same way for the past month. She just doesn't like being in the car for longer than 10-15 minutes. I make sure she is fed and changed before we have to go somewhere and it also helps if I can get her to sleep or at least be drowsy before we get in the car.
I think it's pretty common and they will outgrow it at some point. At least, I hope so!
