Damn you pants, button!

I'm 8wks tomorrow. This bloating is out of control. My pants are so uncomfortable and I find myself "sneaking" an unbutton when people aren't looking lol. Anyone else?

  • @Barihoop I've been doing that with my pants all week! I've found it more comfortable than the belly band for now. :)

I do when my pants are first washed but after a while they fit like normal. I know pretty soon I will have to get some bellabands or something.

You could try the rubberband trick!

  • I totally went and got some maternity pants for work.... I gained some weight pre pregnancy and now nothing fits :(
  • Well thank God I'm not the only one.  My tummy is trying to announce this pregnancy to the world.

  • You guys!  I got some pants that are AMAZING for work: https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1416419/sonoma-life-style-everyday-twill-straight-leg-pants.jsp?color=Mood Indigo

They have STRETCHY sides on the waist band.

They are the perfect first-tri 'maternity' pants!!

    Most comfortable pants ever.
  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I kept thinking it was too soon and I was imagining things but I've been very bloated too. I've also noticed that I'm going to have to invest in some bigger bras soon.
  • I had to "retire" a pair of jeans this week. Sad.
  • I'm 7 weeks and it is more than bloat showing as I had two different people look at my belly and ask if I was pregnant/how far along I was. When I said what do you mean one person said no offense but you gained weight, only in your uterus...

  • LOL!!! I am not alone! I have been here alone in my room for 15mins wearing a pair of open jeans because I can't stand them closed, my DH keeps telling me to go change but can't find anything that looks nice today. I can't stand having gas belly I want a real baby belly!
  • I've been in mat pants since I was 4 1/2 weeks.

  • Yea, my maternity pants were officially out of the attic last week. There is no way I'm even getting the zipper up at this point.

  • This is my second pregnancy and my first I fit into a lot of my normal clothes into my second trimester. Now I'm only 5 weeks along and I have a bloat the size of my 10 week belly last time and I already have to do the hair band trick and stick to yoga pants! Luckily my work shirts are way too big for me and they will hide it till I'm ready to announce!
  • I try not to wear pants because they are uncomfortable. But, I did finally put a pair on this weekend. I did the rubberband trick and that helped. However, you have to make sure you have a longer shirt on so nobody gets a peek at your pants open!

  • If I'm at home I don't wear pants.  DH is used to this haha.  I just got home from a weekend away and the first thing I did was take off my pants.  At work last week I had the elastic band going and flow-y shirts on.  I, also, had gained all the weight I had lost (15 lbs rawr) back in the past 4-5 months so I'm all huffy and puffy about that.  I have been eating really healthy, walking, stretching & drinking lots of water since I got my BFP and have noticed some differences in my body (although I've avoided the scale all together).  Nothing can compete with the bloat though, oh well I just take it as a good sign that today I am pregnant!  That belly belt thing looks cool, I may need to check that out.  With my first pg I bought some bellabands because they were a GREAT sale but never got to use them and I'm too afraid to use them honestly (afraid it will somehow jinx me) but maybe after tomorrow's u/s.

  • Going thru my work clothes, this dress obviously isint going to work! Picked up a bband so far so good :)
  • @sabofair33 that's exactly how I feel/look. It's an awkward skinny with bloat thing and it sucks!

  • I feel like I'm showing but I know its not possible so I have to come to grips with the fact I'm a bloated blimp! My pants are snug and so uncomfortable to sit in!

  • I retired my small pants. I'm up two sizes in order to be comfortable, and even last night I was unbuttoning those. Bf said, "oh, we are driving by my friend's house, want to say hi?" I just looked at him and said, "That means I'd have to button up my pants first". He just kept driving. LOL!

  • I had to wear a maternity skirt today with a "flowy" top. All my other clothes either don't fit anymore or make me look totally pregnant.

I tried the maternity jeans but they have waaaay saggy butt because my tummy isn't holding them in the right position yet.

Basically I have nothing to wear except yoga pants. I showed early last time and this time is ridiculous.

  • I ended up splurging on a couple pairs of Zella yoga pants from Norstroms. They'll last me a long time, they're stretchy, and with the righ top I can pass them off as black "slacks." I'm glad I'm not the only one with uncontrollable bloating.
  • Glad I'm not the only one! I just bought maternity pants and will probably start wearing them. Bloating sucks!!!
