9 Embryos Growing - Day 2 Results

Okay, so it's been 48 hours since ER and everything looks good so far.  Whew!  We're planning a 5-day transfer on Saturday.  Here's what the embryologist told me this morning: 

(2)  4 cell grade 1
(2)  4 cell grade 2
      5 cell grade 1
      5 cell grade 2 
      6 cell grade 2
      7 cell grade 1
      4 cell grade 3

So it all looks good so far!  I covet your prayers!!!  I feel my blood pressure rising.

    Thanks!!!  I don't know whether we'll do 1 or 2 yet - so many factors in play!  Firstly, I definitely want the cycle to work (don't we all!) and with numbers like this, the chances with a day-5 blast are really good already, but I don't want to NOT get pg and then wonder what if... you know?  But secondly, I want my baby (or babies) to be healthy!  Aaaagggghhhh We've been leaning towards transferring 2, and I think that in the end, that's what we'll do, but I won't know for sure until after it's done.  ;)  Thanks for your support - it keeps me from driving my DH crazy.  Also, I haven't publicly announced we're doing the IVF, so I can't rant on FB!  LOL

    September 2012: Start IF testing

    DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA  Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA

    October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

    November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues.  Converted to freeze all due to lining issues.  2 blasts frozen on day 6!

    January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues

    April 2015: FET #2.1

    Yay, that's awesome news! We did our ER Monday, but they told us to call on thursday morning for the final report... they didn't say we could call in between...

    Hubby. 44   Wifey. 36 - Unexplained IF Finally diagnosed with Stage 3 endo and a busted left tube.
    10/11-4/12 Natural cycles BFN
    5/12-6/13 - 9 IUI's + 1 hospital stay for "PID" infection from IUI. All BFN
    8/13 - IVF #1, 14 eggs, 12 fertilized.... 2 blasts transferred Day 5, 5 frozen. BFN
    9/13 - Hysteroscopy, cleaned out some small polyps
    10/13 - FET #1, 2 blasts transferred, Day 5 - BFN :(
    12/13 - Diagnostic laparoscopy, found Stage 3 Endo and non-functioning left fallopian tube which they clipped.
    Finally a diagnosis!
    2/14 - FET #2, 2 blasts transferred, the last 2. Hoping this is it!
    3/11 First BFP ever! Beta 1=160
    It's twins!
    7 weeks - vanishing twin syndrome, 1 baby left.
    Our take home miracle arrived 11/8/14 via C-section, Nicholas Gary.

    2002-current IUIs, meds, natural = All BFN

    Aug. '13  Attempt at IVF #1 with Lurpon Flare- Canceled due to ovulation through Lupron.
    Sept. '13 - We will try again with EPP.

    October '13 Started BCP for December IVF. Long Lupron protocol. Canceled due to ovulation through Lupron.

    April '14 Planning IVF attempt #3. Adding Cetrotide. Doc consult at the end of this month.

    Laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and dye test in Sep 2012- moderate endometriosis removed---
    Diagnosed with unexplained infertility---
    Clomid cycle 1 in Feb 2013- BFN---
    Clomid cycle 2 in Mar 2013- BFN---
    IVF #1 in May 2013- BFN---
    IVF #2 in August 2013-BFN---
    Endometrial biopsy identified high natural killer cells---
    FET #1 in Oct 2013-delayed---
    FET #1 in Nov 2013 with Intralipids-BFN---
    FET #2 in January 2014- BFN---

    IVF #3 in March 2014 (new doctor new plan)-BFFN
    IVF #4 in June 2014 (last cycle with own eggs)- BFN
    IVF #5 in September 2014 (with donor eggs)- BFP plus 6 frozen blasts :)

    The transfer yesterday went smoothly, 2 grade 1 blasts - amazingly, all 7 of the others are still growing and as of yesterday were at morula stage. So, hoping for frosties not only in case this cycle is a FAIL, but also because I'm just dying to bless another couple with some frosties! I've even dreamt about it e last couple of nights. Tenyearwait: sorry, but I wasn't wearing socks at all! :) Now, I'm just waiting for my birthday, when I go for the 1st beta. I sure hope this works, like we all do - it's been such a long journey so far. My last pregnancy was with my ex, in 2000, when I was 20, and it ended in miscarriage. My DH and I have been going to our RE for 4 years!!! Although I'm young enough, my DH is 45 and his kids are now 18 and 20!!!! So, we can't keep trying forever. Eventually this man will want to retire! Sorry for the novel - again, we're not really public with this, so you all keep me (kind of) sane. Hugs and FX to all, especially hugs for you, Twinkie, Sunny, and TenYearWait. You all are so sweet and supportive even though you're having a rough month. :(

    IUI #"s1 - 3 (Femara + IUI) April - June 2013 - all BFN

      Decided to do IVF... Began stimming on September 10th!  Egg Retrieval 9/20/13.  19 eggs: 6 to mature to freeze after 6 fertilized with ICSI

     3 morula stage embryos transferred on 9/25/13.....Beta #1 on 10/4/13/ = 7.5  Beta #2 on 10/6/13 =  negative

      IVF#2 - Lupron plan  (set to begin on 10/28/13)  (Planning on thawing and fertilizing our 6 eggs with ICSI as well as all of the mature eggs they retrieve with this fresh cycle.)

     Late October 2013 - ectopic pregnancy - methotrexate injection....benched 3 months

    CD1 - 12/5/13...Lupron set to start on 12/26/13; CD1 - 1/2/14....Baseline 1/3/14....begin follistim tonight and continue with lupron.  (Got my calendar today!  IVF#2 is a go!)

    ER = 1/14/14  (11 eggs....9 were mature. 9 fertilized.  Of the 6 mature eggs we thawed, only 4 fertilized.  At this time, we have 13 eggs fertilized and growing.  Waiting for news about a 3-day or 5-day transfer.)

    ET = 1/19/14  (5dt).....3 blastocysts transferred!   (All nine embryos didn't make it to freeze.  =(  )

    Beta #1 = 1/28/14   (2 weeks after ER)  BFP! 209 (9dp5dt)   EDD 10/7/14

    Beta #2 - 1/30/14  (11 dp5dt) 302

    Beta #3 - 2/3/14  (15 dp5dt)  1222 

    Ultrasound set for 2/17/14......TWINS!        Twin A - HR 124 bpm; Twin B - HR 126 bpm

    DX: Unexplained
    6 Failed IUIs (Clomid and Gonal F).  
    IVF #1 began August 2013- BC, 4 days of Estrace, stimmed with Gonal F and Menopur, Ganirelix, 9R 5M 5F, Medrol and Doxycycline, 5 day transfer of 2 early blastocysts- good quality, Progesterone, Estrace, and baby aspirin, BETA on 9/20 BFN,   IVF #2 began September 2013, stimming with Gonal F (higher dose) and Menopur, Ganirelix, 18R 14M 9F with ICSI, 5 day transfer of 2 BBs one was starting to hatch, 2 frosties: 1  BB and 1 AC, BETA on 10/21, BFN BETA was a 5- chemical 
    Getting some more testing and trying to figure out what the issue is before FET in December, started acupuncture on 11/10, RLP and some other BW nothing major to report except slightly high Prolactin. Prolactin was slightly high when I started with my RE and I already had an MRI which was Neg.  Endo biopsy=negative.  WTF is wrong with us???
    12/18/13 FET of 1 BB and 1 AC.  Hoping for a miracle.  Beta 12/26 Low BETA-8 2nd BETA 5- chemical
    After 3 failed transfers IDK where to go from here.  Still no real answers as to why this isn't working.  Getting a second opinion in February and looking into immune testing.  
    2/14- NEW RE- Immune testing showed a partial dq alpha match with DH- On prednisone and did intralipids prior to transfer.  3/14 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, HGH.  ER 15 mature all 15 fertilized!  5dt of an early blast grade 1 and an expanded blast grade 2.  BETA on 4/21.  1 grade 2 embryo frozen
    BETA #1 59 BETA #2 148 BETA #3 283 BETA #4 2,783! US at 6w2d shows 1 bean measuring right on track! HR 121.  US at 8w3d measuring on track HR 177. Released form my RE.  EDD 12/28

    Thank you, thank you!  I'm not one to wait around for the lab to call, so I called this morning and they told me that they froze 2 yesterday and will call me later today with an update on the rest.  This is so tough!!  Thanks to you all for your encouragement - it makes all the difference in the world!

    Okay, well, right after I posted I got a call from the lab - the other 5 did not make it.  :(  I'm a little sad, but I shouldn't be - I should just be excited that we had 2 good ones to transfer, and 2 good ones to freeze - I'm incredibly lucky to have that.  So, I'll try to be strictly thankful.  Thanks again for your encouragement!
