Any fitness gals?

I just looked at my 30 day plank challenge plan. I thought it maxed out at 2.5 minutes but it goes to 5 minutes! It shows a plank on their elbows & I have been doing a full arm extension (think push up position). Now that I am 10 days in I'd feel like I am wussing out to adjust my form now.
Thoughts?

    For me personally, I find regular plank to be more difficult than high plank (full arm extension). I have plank twists in my regular rotation, it's a high plank position where you bend your knee and twist to the opposite side

    I got really into planks before getting pg this last time and it made a huge difference in the way my body looked. I only made it up to 1:50 before I stopped increasing due to pregnancy. I cannot even imagine 5 minutes!

    ETA - I should add I know nothing about the plank challenge

  • I haven't done the plank challenge. I have some friends who have joined up on FB and are doing it together. I have thought about joining, but I hate the few planks we do in boot camp. Hearing about this challenge all the time might make me try it though. I agree with the pp, I find the planks on my elbows more difficult.

  • I friend posted a link on my FB that explains the high plank works your shoulders more (large muscles) and the low works the smaller muscles.  I may vary it to benefit both.
  • the most i could ever do on planks is 2 minutes, can't imagine 5!
