I am interviewing for a job that I REALLY want next week and I have two suit options. First I have a black suit and I have shoes, belt, etc. to go with it. And I also have a brown suit but it is 3/4 sleeve and it has a pinstripe type of pattern I guess I could say - it's hard to describe. It isn't dark brown like chocolate, but it isn't khaki either, it's a mid color. I think I should wear the black suit - it feels more professional I think. The 3/4 sleeve of the brown suit jacket just seems to throw me off.
If I need to buy something I need to do it today and have access to a mall relatively easy so that isn't a problem.
I hate button ups because they never fit me right, I've got big boobs but I'm otherwise petite and the buttons gap - something I certainly don't want to have in an interview. I have two shell options from JCrew - one is a navy blue and one is a blush pink. I have another shell style option but it isn't as tailored as I want so I'm not really considering it but it is a nice teal/peacock color. What would you wear? I do have a white button up long sleeve and a short sleeve as well so I could wear either of those, they fit well and don't gap, but aren't my favorite and tend to wrinkle easily.
I googled what is the best color for interviews and I read green or light blue for women is good - any HR ladies that can comment? I really want this job and I know my attire won't get me the position, I am qualified on every aspect for this job and I would love the opportunity, but I want to set the tone and do all I can to make a positive impact. I've always been told I interview well so I'm not worried about that and I have several ideas/scenarios in my mind if they ask me questions to show my thinking, etc. - it's a specific position that they can ask me questions about future planning, etc. and I have some ideas to discuss and I feel prepared, I just don't like options in my closet right now! Thanks!!!
