Anyone doing anything crafty? **Update**

I found this at Hobby Lobby and thought it would be a cute way to hang some of LOs art in his room as he gets older. It was $25-$29 though and I knew I could make it cheaper. It won't look exact, but I'm going to try and do close! Got everything I need except the boards and I will be ready to start it. 

Anyone have anything they are doing / planning to do? Can be NBR.

    I am making reusable grocery bags. Currently perfecting my pattern. I am also tearing apart my favorite pair of "soft" pants and trying to make a pattern from them so I can make more. They are like black cotton athletic pants but the company does not make them any more, they now make a pair that is very tight, like yoga/stretch pants and I prefer my every day pants to be more straight leg. So I get to explore pattern making. Lets hope I don't screw it up.

    @persephonerose good luck! Hope it turns out right. I had a pair from dance skin I loved a couple yrs ago and they no longer make them. Made me so sad!

    So you are saying we aren't the only ones with blank canvases hanging on our walls? Awesome! Ours are all DH though, he is the artist. He has given himself a deadline of LO's first birthday to get them painted. As of Monday, he will have 2 months left.

    I miss the days when I had time to craft. I'm sure I'll get back to it soon with O's birthday party. Oh and I'm going to throw a baby shower for my brother's girlfriend in October so I'll get my fix with then.

    I miss scrapbooking, there's no way I could drag out my stuff and keep A out of it. Let alone feel like doing anything once its out to use.

    Makes the scrapbooks off things like York.com so much easier and doable. I made one from 0-7 months because I had a $20 off coupon. I'd like to make another one soon, picking up from 7m.

    Have you thought about something like this? Curtains/pillows or you could get a pattern for stuffed animals

    Im not mjuch of a scrapbooker but I thought for his first birthday I wanted a scrapbook of the day he was born to set out so I started doing it on shutterfly and Im enjoying that alot better and then I will order when I get a 40 percent off coupon again. Ive also made protectors for the crib when he starts teething so he doesnt scratch up the crib  which is pretty cute:) i just took felt fabric like you make out of tie blankets and then tied the slits together through each  rail. Its worked out great so far:)

    I have so many started projects but never find the time to actually get them done.  Then again I make excuses to get it all out too.

    I finished the boys' shirts with an appliqued Mickey Mouse and their names embroidered underneath, as well as a pacifier clip for DS2 so he didn't drop it while we were at WDW.  DH and I just finished the last bit of painting on our busy board for the boys as well, so now we just have to install the hinged door and a message for it to be done.  And last but least, I have a quilt I'm working on as well for my mom (it's been 2+ years of working on this thing).  I'm hoping to have it done by Thanksgiving. I'll try to PIP all of these projects once I get back from the brunch for DH's class.

    I have (almost) finished two of the boards above, I just need to put the clips and cork board on. My look a little diff but I like the home made look anyways! They are going to be Christmas gifts. One to my nephew and one for A. 

    I'm feeling very crafty and want to make something small for everyone for Christmas. Hopefully I'm not biting off more than I can chew! ( no one has a prob with that saying do they!?  ;).  )

    How about you all?

    I would love to do crafty stuff for Christmas, but between my school, DH's school, and taking care of the kiddos/house, there's no way I have time for 30+ family member gifts at Christmas.  I might do something small for each of the boys though.

    Why aren't my post posting!? Grr I'm only making for about eight ppl. A few things for myself. I could never do 30+!! Starting now just to hopefully get eight done. Lol
