Do babies dream?

On the nights when we bedshare, I've noticed that DS sometimes makes either scared sounding noises or little giggles in his sleep. I'm wondering if he's dreaming or it's just reflexes or something. Anyone know?

    I'm not sure but DD does the same thing. She whimpers sometimes and other times she'll be giggling away in her sleep. The giggles are cute - She does it sometimes if she falls asleep while BFing.
