Growing feet??

I always heard your feet and hands can grow during pregnancy and stay larger. Well I went for a 2.5 mi walk in my old running shoes and OUCH! My toes are curled up at the ends. I don't think it's swelling...think I outgrew them.

And my wedding rings still don't fit! Can't get them past my knuckles.

I think I'll give it two months before I throw in the towel and get new shoes and rings resized. Anyone else outgrow shoes?

Re: Growing feet??

  • My feet grew a little with DD, but I only really outgrew half of my shoes. I waited a few months and lots of them fit again. My rings didn't fit until I stopped BFing and finally lost some weight- just in time to get knocked up and swollen again! I'm not getting my rings resized until I'm done having babies and BFing and reached my goal weight.

  • I haven't tried any other shoes than flip flops ;) but my wedding ring still is tight almost 3 weeks pp
  • Yep. With my first I went from a 10 to an 11.

Do you know how many cute pairs of shoes you can find in size 11? None. Once you get to that size they all look like drag queen shoes. I see a pair of shoes in a store and they look cute on display so I ask to see them in my size and they look horrified. They go to the back and either can't find them or bring back a box the size of coffin. I pull the shoes out of the box and they look like Frankenstein's shoes. :(

This is true. I started at an 11. I'm worried I've gone to a 12. To avoid finding out I just keep wearing the same nasty pair of flip flops.

DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18

I can't even tell you when the last time was I wore normal shoes. Crocs at work and flip flops at home. I'm a size 10 too and afraid to see how my shoes fit. Right now my feet are so swollen I can't even wear crocs comfortably.

  • Only my left foot grew. About half a size, but enough to be uncomfortable. I've got my fingers crossed for the right foot growing this time, rather than getting even more asymmetrical!
  • I hope mine go back after this baby comes. Otherwise I will be doing some serious shoe and boot mourning!

Oh my! This is almost worse than my Frankenfeet! What a pain. You get to chose between one being too but or too small. My sympathies!

  • If I can do that GIF shit post partum And look that good, ill take the street walker sized feet.
  • My engagement ring won't fit and I am praying it will quickly! We get married in November and I don't want to stress about having to get it resized. My finger was a 4 to begin with and had to be customized so I just don't want to deal with it!!

  • Last time I had to buy new shoes and get my rings sized. For the rings I waited until I lost all my baby weight, and had stopped BFing for 6 months (LO was 18 months old). I haven't even bothered to try my rings in yet this time.
