Had this been a Friday afternoon PRE children what would you have been looking forward to doing this Friday night?

a Large group of us used to always spend Friday nights for happy hour at his random dirt hole bar and play darts. Nobody ever went there so Friday nights its like we all had the place to ourselves, no body planned it, we just all knew where to meet.

Now this Friday night I look forward to spending some much needed recliner time with my peanut!

Any Friday night traditions that changed drastically?

We would probably have plans to try for a baby! Haha

But really, we would probably be having dinner, drinks and dancing with friends. Or a bone fire at our house, where everyone brought their kids so it was pretty family friendly!

Ah. Pre babies we were living in a bigger city so probably supper and drinks with friends. Pre hubby I'd be hitting up the same club I did. Every Friday night. With the same group of girlfriends. Watching the drama. Haha.

Pre baby we were living in the Seattle area, we use to go out for sushi and then go over to a friends house where we drank coffee (lots of it), stayed up until the wee hours of the morning talking about all sorts of things, and occasionally playing Phase 10.

pre baby we usually laid low on fridays, maybe dinner and a movie. saturdays during the summer we used to have people over during the day and have some drinks on our back deck and enjoy the sunshine.

Pre babies I would still be working and not a sahm... if my DH was off work we would be trying a new exotic-ish recipe for dinner or going out to try a new place. Then watching a movie or going out to a bar or friends house. Staying up late and sleeping in tomorrow... ahhh. That's what I miss most.... sleeping in and the nice restaurants we used to go to.. If DH was working I might watch a chick flick and eat lots of ice cream. :-)

I would be preparing to get off work early and head to Dashing Divas for manis & cosmos (every other Friday) or headed to Archlight Theaters for drinks & a movie with DH.

In the summer there was a good chance we'd take off for a weekend trip. On a normal Friday, we would've relaxed with wine and had friends over to play bags or board games. Or a good dinner out at someplace new. We will get back to that someday

Pre baby on a friday night I would be going out for beers with my girlfriends. We would have to many beers and end up singing karaoke all night!!

Well this weekend we're headed to Canada to visit friends we met on our honeymoon in 2010. They're daughter is turning 1. We would be doing pre-baby as well.

And if we weren't going away this weekend, we would be doing the same thign we would have been doing before Emma anyways... dinner out/in... redbox movie or two and sleep. Now it's just better with her!

Oh we weren't good singers!! Just loved to sing after to many beers. My song that I had to sing everytime was Delta Dawn!!

Playing video games and studying. Mostly video games though. Every once in a while I will have a Star Wars or Lord of the Rings marathon cause I am that interesting.

I would be heading out for drinks after work! Then to a club to dance all night! Or the movies,or to a gf house to chat and drink some more! But that was then....today I will be playing all afternoon with my sweet little baby

The fire was on our patio and the kids played in the yard slash play area in the back yard. All in our vision. They couldn't physically get to the fire without passing the gate.

I was making a joke about a "bone" fire sounding kinky, not commenting on anyone's parenting. I too love bonfires.

Friday nights I used to go to my friends, hang out and have some drinks until 1. Rarely do that anymore. We used to go to movies too sometimes.

Tonight I'm having dinner with girlfriends and DH is on baby duty -- honestly, I'm old and tired and while in my 20s I was probably out drinking / dancing, that all changed a few years ago and I'd rather just come home to the sofa, my family and cozy clothes -- kids or not. :-)

On a nice summer night we'd be headed out for beers and crab cakes, just us or with friends, hoping to sit outside and people watch and enjoy the sunset.

My DH works 2nd shift and doesn't get home until 930, so before baby came along I would usually go,out for happy hour with work friends until about 7 or 8. Then when DH got home, we would either hang at home with a movie, or go meet up with friends for outside beers somewhere! Oh how I miss outside beers! Especially at the reds game!

Probably would have gone to a mates place. He has a bar in his garage and we used to order pizza and watch the footy on the tv. Good times!

Probably not much different than what we do now! Dinner and a movie in. We would have likely had time for the gym before dinner and the movie wouldn't be a cartoon. Also we would be able to stay up past 10pm...

It was a pretty sweet life for sure! Wouldn't swap my girls, but I'd love to be able to live that life once in a while!
