Intro!!

Hi ladies! I'm finally posting my intro over here, my little guy Lukas James was born last week on his due date, August 15th. I'm so excited to be on this side of the loss boards! My birth story is below for anyone who is interested! Birth story: I had a Dr appt on the 14th and was 1 cm and 70%. I went home and took a nap and was woken around 5:30 with a contraction. I had a few more sporadic contractions between then and around 11 pm when I started timing them on the "Full Term" app on my phone. They got closer together through the night and I only slept about two hours total. I got out of bed around 6 had a quick snack and a shower. By 9:30 I was off to the hospital. I was assessed and admitted at 4 cm and labored naturally for about 2 hours but didn't progress much even though the contractions were getting rough. They were starting to make me sick so I had my epi placed around 3 pm. My water was broken at that point and I was 8 cm within an hour and was at 10 cm and ready to push by 5:30 pm. I had horrible heart burn during pushing and was having trouble pushing because of the reflux. I ended up throwing up about 40 minutes into pushing and felt so much better! After that he was out in four pushes. No tearing, no stitches! DH and I are in love!
