Nah, we're waiting. They can get lopsided/off centered as they grow if you get them done this young. Plus, I don't even know if she wants them done. She's a horrible communicator. lol

This.
Side story - My SIL decided to get my niece's ears pierced without talking to my brother about it first. Folks, don't do this. It can only lead to nasty feelings.
I did as soon as she hit 3 months! And She only cried 2 min that was it! She does not fuss about it,it does not bother her. And on the off centered don't think so. Mine were done when I was a month old and they are fine. My sister who is 6 had hers done at 2 months and they are also fine.

I think it has to do with both how experienced the one giving the piercing is and what type of earring it is. I had my ears up to a 0 gauge and only wore plastic.. if I had done metal or anything else heavy it would have drooped down unevenly. I have not had any rings in for about a year now and they are almost closed up. I have seen many people get their ears done older and the person doing them managed to mess it up.. with a gun.
@ClandestineX that is crazy how urs all almost closed up,spend over a year not wearing earrings and they never closed up. And yes I guess you are right it depends how well experienced the person is.
We had DD's ears pierced a few weeks back. She handled it like a champ. We had them done early bc we didn't want her playing or tugging at them. If she grows up and decides she hates them, we will take them out and let them close up,
We actually got them pierced last night! She shed 1 tear in each eye and was finished crying before we even left the store. We also had an audience watching her get them done because everyone was so fascinated with how cute she was.

After talking about it with DH, I think we're going to wait till her first birthday.
