Sorry for all the questions today! But I feel like maybe i am being under-monitored. I am 20 weeks preg with di/di twins but I also have Type 1 diabetes, RA and Hashimotos, so even if it was only a singleton I would still be high risk. I see my ob on the normal schedule and MFM once a trimester. (I also speak to my endo every week and see her once every 4 weeks for the diabetes) My OB only suggested growth scans every 4 weeks. Also I had my anatomy scan at 18 weeks and he wont let me get the growth until 24 weeks. I'm just not sure if i am over reacting or not. I do have my second tri appt with the MFM on 9/4 so I plan on voicing my concerns. My OB's office makes me feel like I am crazy when I asked for extra monitoring. What is your opinion? How often do most of you get scans? Thank in advance!
Type 1 Diabetic, Hashimotos, RA. Its twins!!!! EDD 1/6/2014 Di/di b/g twins.

I have had growth scans and cervical length checks every 2 weeks (plus an anatomy scan at 18.5 weeks) since 13 weeks. At each scan, they do an internal and external US. I also see my doctor immediately after to go over all results.
I would not feel comfortable with anything less. Just looking at how my body has changed in the last 4 weeks, I couldn't imagine not having 3 scans (plus CL checks) already in that time!
ETA: I am having di/di twins and have had zero complications. This is just the standard of care at my MFM's practice.
I am high risk for PTL/PROM and I have an U/S every 4 weeks and at 32 weeks will go every 2 weeks and have NST as well at the MFM. My OB I see on a regular schedule. Thus far I have not had any complications so I don't think they will increase my apt frequency until things change. I would say if your diabetes is being monitored by another doctor regularly(which is super important) and the babies are looking good at their scans then you are good for now. I would say when you get to about 30 weeks you will want to start being monitored more.
P.S.- I also have di/di twins. I wish I knew more about the effects of RA and Hashimotos on pregnancy, that may be cause for more monitoring!
