1) I'd be a blue whale. As humans, we only know about 5% of what happens in the ocean. I bet blue whales see *everything* and I'd love to know what happens in the deep and unreachable places in the water.

2) I love Mexican food, always and forever. Here's my favorite recipe:

Absolutely delicious. Serve it with rice or tortillas and bam, a wonderful meal!

3) No changes for us, really. DP is being sweeter and easier on my in my two-week wait which - if it leads to pregnancy (please let it be so!) then maybe the princess treatment will continue

4) My favorite color is the rainbow. I cannot pick one! I gravitate towards a certain color depending on my mood... Right now my favorite color is pink.

5) I'm a cusp smack in the middle of Leo and Cancer, though I believe my traits are much more Cancer-ish... Though I am very assertive and outspoken, so there's a bit of Leo in me after all.

6) I'm very much an introvert. Have you seen Buzzfeed's extrovert problems? I don't understand a single one of them and just reading this list makes me so, so tired:

That being said, we specifically selected an extroverted donor because DP and I are introverts and I do feel like I'd want my kid to have a bit of both, at least, so they can enjoy being around people and interacting more than we do.

7) Autumn!! Bring on the camp fires!!!

8) Cocoa Beach, Florida. No doubt about it. My parents have been taking me there since I was little and I have so many fond memories. I can't wait to take our kids to the beach for the first time! I hope they love it as much as me.

9) I've got two pets: one very fat cat and one paralyzed mini dachshund. I can't imagine not having pets. Life would be so lonely without them!

10) DP and I are both in education. Whee!

1. Well, I wouldn't mind being a house cat since they seem to have pretty sweet lives -- at least the ones who have lived with my friends or me. Sleep, eat, play, sleep some more? Snuggling on your terms only and free reign to ignore people if you feel like it? Sign me up. I also wouldn't mind being something that flies.

3. I think our two years of TTC/IF/miscarriage stress has brought us closer together and made our marriage stronger. I've seen it go the other way for other couples, so I consider us lucky.

8. My wife and I were just saying if we were going to be snowbirds, we would spend our winters in Charleston, SC. Beautiful city, great restaurants, and the beach -- it's perfect! So I wouldn't mind having a house there. I'm sure I'd love having a villa in Europe somewhere, but I don't quite feel qualified to choose a location, since my European travel has been pretty limited.

This is fun 2Mamaz!

Lets see...

I love reading about people's MBTI, and I am an INTJ. From everything I've read, it fits me pretty well. I am very introverted and analytical (love the sciences/math). I do think I have a stronger emotional side than what most INTJ's are assumed to have.

My favorite season is Fall... so excited it is almost here!

I am a nanny, and so is my wife. I am currently in the process of applying to med school so hopefully that is in my future

If I could have a vacation home right now... it would be in Seattle

I miss it quite a bit. I do plan on settling down in Seattle in the future, so when that happens, I would probably like a vacation home somewhere in Europe. I have never been but I would love to explore so many places over there.

1. If you could be an animal, what would you be a why?
Hard one. I think being a lap dog to the right owner would be awesome, but I've always been fascinated by elephants. I think it's amazing how sensitive and family oriented they are. Not taking into account poachers and natural predators, I would probably choose that.

2. What is your favorite recipe/dish? Link to the recipe online is a bonus!!
Omg, I guess my southern hashbrown casserole. It's my own so no link. But it involves lots of cheese, butter, hashbrowns, sour cream, and some baked cornflakes for good crunch. It sounds weird, but it's always a hit.

3. Has there been any surprising changes in your relationship since TTC, or having a child? If so, what?

No surprises but I think we've both appreciated our strengths at different moments. I love how when one is down or weak, the other is tall and strong. We talk a lot about the boundaries we want to maintain once the baby arrives. We'll see how that goes.

4. What is your favorite color?
Tough one. I like all shades of green. I also really like orange and brown. It's way too hard to pick just one.

5. What is your astrological sign?
Cancer. No doubt about that.

6. Introvert or Extrovert? (Myers-Briggs letters a + if you know yours!)
I'm always right on the line when being tested. I would say I lean more toward introvert, but it depends on the day.

Coastal Italy. Love the place, people, and culture. A close second I would choose Maui

1. I think it'd be cool to be a bird so you could fly around and see so much of the world. Definitely one that migrates far from home. But ball.and.chain. has a point about the housecat.

7. I loved Fall when I grew up in PA, but in Seattle, well, this year I'd vote for Summer since it's been so completely fantastic and out of character - but overall, I like the fall feeling time of year.

8. I would love a fabulous place in NYC to visit but not be permanently living in; also, for true vacation spot ongoing, Maui would be awesome but I'd consider living in a cool neighborhood in Paris . Can I have all 3?

9. We have 3 cats (black cat, 14 y.o; cow kitty, 9 yr old; and buff maine coon mix, 2 y.o) plus 3 hens and 2 chicks!

1. If you could be an animal, what would you be a why?

I think B&C is onto something. My cats live a pretty comfy life. Like songbird, I also love elephants... But isn't their gestation period like 2 years or something? So, I guess a cat wins out.

I don't know that I have a favorite, but I do love sweet potato and black bean enchiladas (minus the cheese): https://m.wholefoodsmarket.com/recipe/sweet-potato-and-black-bean-enchiladas. It's a really easy recipe if you but store bought enchilada sauce instead of making your own.

3. Has there been any surprising changes in your relationship since TTC, or having a child? If so, what?

No surprises. Z and I went through some hard changes in the couple years leading up to our wedding, so I think we started off strong on our journey. This journey has just reaffirmed that Z is the person I want by my side and to create a family with.

4. What is your favorite color?

No favorites. I like bright, contemporary color combinations. I wear black a lot. And am digging grey right now too.

5. What is your astrological sign?

Libra. Not big into astrology, but from what I've read, I'm a pretty classic libra.

7. Favorite season?

Hmm. I've always lived in the South and we don't have the classic 4 seasons. I love the month long period from about mid-April to mid-May when it warm, but not hot - making it perfect patio weather.

A 4yo lab, 11yo and 10yo cats

1. I would be a dove. I would love to fly, so that is why I gravitated toward a bird! Plus, doves are a symbol of peace and love.

3. Our TTC journey has brought us closer together, and made us find new ways to enjoy each other's company. After 9 yrs together, I remember why J is my best friend now more than ever, and we really have been good to each other this year. I am proud of us, because I feel like our relationship has grown this year.

8. My vacation home would be in Greece. That is where my mother's family is from. I would love a private villa in Mykonos... right on the sea... the kind that the rich and famous types have...that would be amazing!

Purple. And my second favorite color is rainbow.

Extrovert but just barely on that side. Like my alone time, hate crowds and big parties (but love political rallies ad lecturing to a big class)

A cottage in northern Ontario (but not so far north that it is never warm) where there are not many people. Perhaps on the Georgian bay because that would make M so happy.

One dog, an 85 pound hound mix and one black and white cat

I'm doing my PhD in women's studies and want to be a professor. M works in academic advising and learning support at a university in Toronto.

2MamazInSeattle if my wife and I move to Seattle I think I should work in your wife's coffee shop :-) We keep talking about moving to New Mexico or Washington State. We will see ;-)

1. If you could be an animal, what would you be a why?

I can't think of just one animal, I think I would love to be an animal that flies. But not a pesky insect :-)

2. What is your favorite recipe/dish? Link to the recipe online is a bonus!!

My favorite dish is 5 cheese baked ziti and I also make a side dish we call "potato goo" its cubed potatoes, cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken, milk and butter. Its amazing and totally fattening!

3. Has there been any surprising changes in your relationship since TTC, or having a child? If so, what?

My wife is pretty good at pampering me, but she is definitely extra sweet during the TWW. We are also lucky that my wife has younger siblings, the youngest is 4 years old. We have kept her since she was a baby overnight and even up to a whole week. So even though we don't have children of our own just yet, we have "practiced" having children around for more than just a few hours. We have dealt with no sleep, crying babies, terrible twos, potty training, ect. Its nice that after her little sister goes home we have debriefing sessions about how we handle situations and what our strengths and weakness we each have. I am hoping this helps us to be better parents one day.

I don't really have a favorite, but I wear a lot of black, red and pink

I am an Aries. I read my horoscope every once in awhile, but I don't know a lot about the signs

I really can be both. I used to be very much an extrovert, but due to some trauma and just getting older I am more quiet and introverted these days.

I love FALL!!!

I would say Hawaii, but I know my wife would want it to be Germany. So maybe both :-)

9. How many pets do you have and of what kind?

We have two dogs. One is a beagle/lab/pit mix. He looks like a chocolate lab with a little bigger head (he is the bigger one and is a huge baby) The other is a wiener/beagle mix and just looks like a bigger wiener dog.

10. What is your job? Your partner's job?

Right now I am working days at a restaurant and nights babysitting. I am quitting the restaurant and will soon be watching an infant during the day and also babysitting a 4 year old in the evenings. My DW works for a bank and works with government credit cards.

Showed us our strengths and definitely the chinks in our relationships. It's been work to TTC, get pregnant and have Kaden then TTC again. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

EV is currently between jobs which is why we moved our little family to the Caribbean for a few months and bought and fixed up a home there. Hopefully we'll be settled back into work and home in California by the New Year.

1. If you could be an animal, what would you be a why?

Probably a jellyfish. Calming to watching, deadly to touch... First thing that popped in my mind. I am not sure that is really what I would WANT, but I am going to leave it. Trying to learn to trust my instincts here...

2. I am really learning to love spaghetti squash. 2013 is going to go down is the history as the year we tried to have a baby, and the year I learned to eat vegetables. Yesterday A made a delicious spaghetti squash with orzo, garlic salsa, a little sprinkle of cheese and ground turkey. Yum.

3. We have really learned our limits... how to communicate when we are frustrated and how to switch between roles of supporting, and being supported.

4. Red sparkley. I know it is specific. Not just red... the sparkles have to be there too. But not glitter. Think 50's dinner booths.

5. Sagittarius

6. ENFP... Complicated extrovert. I am comfortable addressing large crowds (the bigger the better), or groups smaller than 6 people. If I am around 6-20 people, I have a tendency to be shy. Weird.. I know.

7. Fall... bring it on.

8. Easy- New Zealand. No snakes, great weather, amazing produce, and my best friends live there.

9. 2 dogs. Both Jack Russell mixes. One- diagnosed with Canine OCD (yes it is a real thing, and no, it isn't funny... okay it is kind of funny. He chases his shadow.) the other-rescued from a crack house as a puppy and has never quite gotten over it... We love them both, even if they are neurotic weirdies.

10. I am a Camp Professional. I work at an Outdoor Education Facility now, but use to Direct a summer resident camp. Sometimes my daily tasks include preserving deceased scorpions, other days it includes playing the guitar and singing around a campfire, and others it includes firing poor performing lifeguards. Kind of a crapshoot. A and I met at camp, and while she doesn't work in the great outdoors anymore, it is still in her heart. For now she is running a marriage equality vendor website, working with families to place International Au Paires, and also watches our baby niece full time in home. In other words, she's busy. And she still has time to cook me delicious food and match up my socks

1. If you could be an animal, what would you be a why?

I think it would be awesome to be a dog that gets completely spoiled rotten!! (like mine lol). It would also be cool to be a bird, like an owl or eagle, something majestic that can soar high in the air. What a feeling that would be!

My favorite dish is my family's dressing for Thanksgiving. It has been around for about five generations, and you can really tell by the perfection that it is. I don't have an online recipe but it really is amazing!!

3. Has there been any surprising changes in your relationship since TTC, or having a child? If so, what?

There has been a surprising change in my relationship for sure. We were both very excited about me being pregnant, and went to doctor appointment's together, etc. She got me my first Mother's Day gift, and it was so great! Then something happened (still to this day have no idea what), and she left. I am still trying to deal with it all, and it is very hard. I still wouldn't change the fact that I have a growing life inside of me. It is scary to think that I am going to be doing this on my own, but then I also know that so many women have done it alone before me. She was my very best friend, and I thought she was the love of my life. I miss her very much still, and think about her every day.

4. What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is navy blue, and I also like dark blue with brick red color. Seems that there are a bunch of different items, clothing, blankets, etc, that have this color scheme, and I love it.

5. What is your astrological sign?

I am a pisces, and from what I know about that sign, it fits me very well.

6. Introvert or Extrovert? (Myers-Briggs letters a + if you know yours!)

I was an introvert growing up, and for a long time as a young adult. My job has forced me to get "un-shy", and now I think I am more extroverted than introverted.

7. Favorite season?

My favorite season is fall and winter. I love the colors of fall, and the fun holidays that come with it.

8. If you could have a vacation home, for free, with lifetime free travel to/from it, where would it be? Tell us more!

My vacation home would definitely be in Colorado! I absolutely love the Rocky Mountains, and being there feels like home more than any other place I have ever visited. Log cabin in the mountains, yes please!!!

9. How many pets do you have and of what kind?

I have two dachshunds, and they are my babies!! I have two parakeets that I got when my grandmother died, and I have a female love bird that was my dads, who desperately needs a man!! Seems that when my family members die, they have birds and I take them!!

10. What is your job? Your partner's job?

I am a Forensic Death Investigator at a county medical examiner's office. I have worked here for almost 10 years, and I absolutely love my job.

Oh I forgot my PIP 'bonus' - this is me (left) with my 3 sisters. The one on the far right is my BFF and sent this to us in email this morning saying she happened upon it, and it was a fave of the four of us. I'm the oldest and the youngest (in glasses) is 8 years younger. Sorry it's so big - but it will resize nicely on mobile This was last year at J's employee Christmas party, I'd just found out I was pregnant that day...

9. How many pets do you have and of what kind? woooo ok, we have 3 huge dogs, 3 cats, 2 chinese water dragons and 4 red earred sliders.
10. What is your job? I am a counselor and I currently work in substance abuse.

1. If you could be an animal, what would you be a why?
-- there's so many to chose from, but I'm stuck between an eagle and/or a jaguar. Both animals are high on the totem spiritually. Just a strong connection to them.

2. What is your favorite recipe/dish? Link to the recipe online is a bonus!!
-- I love food but my comfort food is cheese and bean tacos with salsa (I use corn torillias) and/or veggie sushi.

3. Has there been any surprising changes in your relationship since TTC, or having a child? If so, what?
-- that I love parenting my son. Just remind me again when he's a teenager! My partner doesn't help much - only when she wants to help. I have to be very clear when I need help. I wish we could try for a second child.

4. What is your favorite color?
-- ugh! So many again! I love warm earth tones but wine is my favorite.

5. What is your astrological sign?
--- Libra with Gemini rising and Cancer in my lunar. (My mom used to do astrology.)

6. Introvert or Extrovert? (Myers-Briggs letters a + if you know yours!)
--- both! I'm one of those that can go both way! Depends on the situation. But with my deafness, I've been shying away from crowds.

7. Favorite season?
--- duh! As a Libra, my favorite season is fall, but since Little Bear's birth, I enjoy Spring as well.

8. If you could have a vacation home, for free, with lifetime free travel to/from it, where would it be? Tell us more!
--- it really would be an all year home if I had my choice - a lighthouse in the island up here in Washington.

9. How many pets do you have and of what kind?
--- currently we have two dogs (7 and 13 years old, adopted from shelters) and two cats (15 and blind, and 2 year old black/white).

10. What is your job? Your partner's job?
-- I'm a stay at home mom who's seriously thinking about returning to the working world of teaching. My partner's retired. She used to work in the humane (animal control/kennel manger) before her health demand that she stop. She misses it and thinks about volunteering at our local no-kill shelter after her health improves.

I totally would be a cat! That is seriously the best idea ever! Although, I would like to be a flying animal to be able to go anywhere, but a sea creature would be fun too.

Yikes... K does most (almost all) of the cooking. And she makes ribs pretty fantastically. I find she does best if she DOESN'T follow a recipe and simply goes off of taste

No surprises. She's amazing and supportive and I love it. (Although, we have JUST started the process)

Green!

Fall, everything about fall. The only downside is it is TOO short!

International -- UK somewhere because I feel inter-country travel is so much easier over there. Although, I'm sure K would have something to say about it

Yikes... too many! 4 dogs (Beagle-Mix, Boston Terrier, Maltese-Poodle, MinPin), 2 boy lover cats, a tortoise (named Peabody who is pretty cool), and 2 fish (Bob & Nancy)

Customer Service for an internet-based company for me & Financial Services for a community college for K.

@Melissa61788- It is what it sounds like. I investigate deaths of people who die traumatically (car wrecks, accidents, etc) or due to foul play (homicides). I go to death scenes and photograph the scene, verify if there is any discrepancy from what I am told happened and what I see with the scene, interview police, witnesses, family members, and then do a report for the medical examiner to read before he/she does an autopsy. I love my job because it is a challenge physically and mentally, and I never know what is going to happen from day to day. Hope that explains?

1. If you could be an animal, what would you be a why?

I would totally be a unicorn, but a cartoony one not the majestic, painted on velvet kind.

2. What is your favorite recipe/dish? Link to the recipe online is a bonus!!

I could live on black beans in any form. We were vegan for a few years, and I had been vegetarian since I was 12 but when A got pregnant we started eating meat again.

3. Has there been any surprising changes in your relationship since TTC, or having a child? If so, what?

I realized we were stronger than we knew. While we had an easy TTC journey comparatively, it was still very challenging and very emotional. Seeing A give birth to and take care of Miles makes me fall more in love with her every day. That being said, having a newborn is hard. We have had some dumb fights (I have said some stupid things) that would have never happened if we were both well rested.

4. What is your favorite color?

Gray. I went to art school, and have systematically painted almost our entire house in shades of gray. However when I design things for work, I secretly work in really bright rainbows into the color scheme.

5. What is your astrological sign?

Leo

6. Introvert or Extrovert? (Myers-Briggs letters a + if you know yours!)

INFJ, but people don’t ever believe I am an introvert because I am good at sales. Fake it til you make it!

7. Favorite season?

Spring. Nothing like the thaw after our crazy northeastern winters.

8. If you could have a vacation home, for free, with lifetime free travel to/from it, where would it be? Tell us more!

I wouldn’t want to commit to one place. Can I just have 3 business class plane tickets a year forever?

9. How many pets do you have and of what kind?

We have a 12 year old rescue Italian greyhound.

10. What is your job? Your partner's job?

I work for a consumer electronics company to determine what future products and businesses we should move into. I am also getting my masters degree in healthcare administration. A is now SAHM.

3. Has there been any surprising changes in your relationship since TTC, or having a child? If so, what? No, we have a very strong relationship so the only changes have been for the better. Since we are still in our 2ww (like 3.5 weeks later), we are getting through it together with support and love!

4. What is your favorite color? I do love pink

6. Introvert or Extrovert? (Myers-Briggs letters a + if you know yours!) I'm sort of in the middle. I used to be an extrovert, but in the last few years have really preferred just to be with people I know and not branch out there!

7. Favorite season? no question....FALL.

8. If you could have a vacation home, for free, with lifetime free travel to/from it, where would it be? Tell us more! OMG...I have never been to Alaska, but DW has and wants to move there now. I'd love to be somewhere that we can just step out of our door and hike/backpack!

9. How many pets do you have and of what kind? We are owned by one beautiful furkitty...she is a tuxedo kitty, 10 years old and the personality of a diva.

10. What is your job? Your partner's job? I'm a lawyer, she is a firefighter.
