Personally I liked the customer service at Byram the best but maybe I just got lucky.
Hope this info helps you all! Now to decide which pump is the best! I had a medela with my first but never liked it. Come to find out years later the diaphragm that actually controls the suction had a tiny tear so I never received a good suction from it.
Re: IF you have United Healthcare-breast pumps
I hope so! I am totally procrastinating cleaning and running errands so I make phone calls
We are registering tomorrow, so I was going to call UHC tonight to find out which ones they covered.

January PAL Siggy Challenge: Good Advice
When I talked to the UHC representative I was given the 3 medical distributors above that I had to choose from if I wanted the breast pump to be covered. Maybe different policy's will allow you to purchase from a store but when I called each of the distributors they had these specific ones that were covered by UHC they didn't need me to clarify the type of policy. IF you look at some of their sites they will specifically say UHC also. As SOMONY said you will want to clarify with your specific policy but this gives you at least an idea.
I am thinking because mine is covered 100% they want to restrict what I pick to some degree. But definitely call to confirm.
LOL...I called again today and I was just told that it's covered 100% as long as it comes from a medical supply or the hospital...shit who knows know. I've been told 2 different things, but this representative sounded like she was more informed. I'll probably call again in a month or two...I figure the best 2 out of 3 will win...LOL
I have United Healthcare too, and I felt the same way about Byram when I spoke with them earlier this week. Pretty much everything you said is exactly what I was told, except they told me that they'll contact the Dr. for me when I start the claim (30 days before EDD), and will automatically ship the pump on my EDD. If I deliver early, then I just have to call, and they'll ship immediately.
Thanks for this! I have UMR through United and Byram told me the Medela was unavailable. That was my first choice. I will order the Ameda Purely Yours. You can order in advanced but they won't place the order until the baby is born. My breast feeding instructor told us that we shouldn't pump/ bottle feed for the first 3-4 weeks anyway to make sure BFing is well established so the delay is not a big deal to me.
I agree Byram had the best customer service. My insurance covers the pump 100%.
readyornot12345 my personal opinion after doing research is that the Medela is the best. If your insurance covers that one for you, I would get it.
