Quick Solids Question

I want to make my own sweet potatoes for baby's first food. If I have an immersion blender, will that blend the potatoes to a thin & creamy enough texture? (If I add water too)? Also he has had baby oatmeal, just fyi. Thx!

I just bake them and serve as is. I've found they don't need further thinning or pureeing.

I pureed in my blender. I added BM but no water. It was her first solid so I kinda made it the consistency of cheeze whiz. The second one I did I made a little thicker. 2 sweet potatoes made almost three ice cube trays of food.

How big do you cut them? After baking, don't they get the outer layer kinda chewy?
