More little girl hair advice needed...

DD is going to be the flowergirl in my niece's wedding on 9/7.  My niece has purchased her a headband with a large flower to wear on wedding day.  DD is not great at keeping headbands in her hair, and her hair hangs in her eyes unless it's pulled back in a ponytail.  So, any advice on how to keep the headband on?  Or should I curl her bone straight hair so it's not in her eyes when she does pull the headband out?  Just looking for some brainstorming.

Best I got at work is baby girls 9 month pics.  the pony is off to the side... I don't have a pic of the headband.  I was thinking curlers you put in when wet.  My mom has some really old ones and tried it one day and it worked ok... made apipe curl type thing.

Can you take the flower off the headband and attach a clip to it?

That way you can wear the flower and pull her hair back like that pony?

  • I think it's already on a clip, but would it overwhelm the little bit of hair she does have?  It's a huge flower.

  • I would start working with her now on keeping it on. We're doing that with a little felt crown we bought Kate for her 1st. I get out the big guns..like my cell phone, or car keys that she's not allowed the play with...slap the headband on and then start making crazy noises, singing and dancing around while handing her the cell phone so she doesn't reach up and pull it off...

It works 80% of the time.

You can always have her wear her hair in a pony and wrap the headband around it with the flower on top at the last second if all else fails...
