Stay at Home Moms

Last day of summer fail

Today is my last full day home before school starts and I had some fun things planned.  My dad took today off to go to the zoo with DD and I, we are going to make cookies while she naps and then out to dinner tonight.  I was very excited about this, but of course DD spiked a fever last night (102.9!) and is sick.  Her fever is lower today (101.1), but not gone.  Needless to say those plans are scrapped.  :(
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

  • Hope she feels better.  Are you are teacher?
Curious why a SAHM with a 1 year old is counting until school starts.

I'm a teacher.  I like you guys and I'd rather be at home FT. :)

  • Hope she feels better! DH and I both got hit horribly with the stomach bug Wednesday night. He had the runs, and I had vomit. I ended up spending the night at the hospital for dehydration. We are better today, but still have uneasy stomachs. I had big plans with the kids as well. Thankfully my parents are in town, and have kept them busy.

Oh goodness, I hope this doesn't turn into that.  She's never had the flu (just an occasional puke) and I don't know what I would do, it sounds awful!!  Thankfully she does seem as curious as ever, but is really pathetic to watch.  She has brought me a pillow and blanket and three books so I guess that's what we are doing for now :)

  • Ugh.  You were right.  I never followed up.  DD woke up puking Sunday night and continued Monday.  It was lovely fun.  DH took her to the clinic and they said she's 'fine' it's just a bug.  It was a nasty bug.  Thankfully, now she's doing better.
