things your LO does that drive you up the wall

There are certain things that DD does that make me go from 0 to 100. The worst part is she thinks its funny when I speak firmly or yell at her, which I know I need to work on.  Anyways here is my list:

Tip the cat food bowl over at least once daily
Eat everything inside the house and outside, including rocks
pull the kitchen towels off of the stove and dishwasher (and of course the OCD in me has to put them back for her just to do it over and over again)
Squirm like there is no tomorrow during diaper changes
freak out when the bottle is warming up as if it is crack

It's a good thing she is cute so she is easily forgiven. Anyways what's on your list?

  • The diaper squirming. Trying to change her diaper or get her dressed is so frustrating! I also get annoyed when she yanks my hair or snaps my bra while breast feeding. Not a huge fan when she grinds her teeth either.

  • obsessed with eating paper & cardboard

thinking it's a game to pull out her hairclips/headbands

needing to play in the kitchen cabinet directly under my feet while I'm trying to prepare a meal

making a bee line into the bathroom every time I forget to close the door all the way or whenever she hears someone going in there.

those should be added to my list too!

  • I would really like to change a diaper without a battle.

    Everything else isn't too bad.

  • Fighting me to get dressed and her new hatred of the bath are driving me nuts. My kid loved the bath until a few weeks ago, now it is hit or miss.

    Kid #1 - 09/03/12
    Kid #2 - maybe???
    Diagnosed with Severe Ashermans
Hysteroscopy #10 - scar tissue grew back reblocking my right tube
#11 or IVF with scarring still inside?
1 lone embryo from September 2016 retreival, dx with Trisomy 16, starting fresh
  • I'll join the diaper squirming hate. Shrieking drives me bonkers, it's high pitched loud as fuck and can last for hours; she thinks it is HILARIOUS! Food throwing bugs me too.

  • Diaper squirming for sure.
Also he beelines for the toilet whenever the bathroom door is open which is making for interesting pting time for ds1. I have fished 3 toys out of the toilet already grrr... Ds1 never really cared about the toilet and def never threw anything in it. Stinker!

  • I agree with the diaper squirming, arm pinching and eating dog food.  I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in getting annoyed with some of these things.

  • Wrestling an alligator during diaper changes.

Also, he must play with ALL THE WIRES, ever.

He cries when I'm in the shower because he wants to get in.

Just whining in general.  USE YOUR WORDS, CHILD!  Well, okay, I can't wait to say this in the future, at least.

    These exactly
  • If I put her in the high chair before putting the tray on, she fights me putting it on. (And it's especially annoying bc the fact that I hadn't put the tray on probably means that shit was out of control somehow)

She grabs my hair and pulls it out.

Playing with a birthmark on my chest and scratching at it.

This. I have a mole on my chest and arm and DD tries to remove it for me. How kind of her.

Also, head-butting me in the face. b-(

  • Oh and feeding the dog.
  • Wiping her hands in her hair when they get food on them.  It always seems to happen when dinner is on the later side and I wasn't planning on giving her a bath that night.

She love bites.  She'll crawl into my lap and bite my pregnant belly, and it hurts!  She tries to do it to DH too, but she tends to just get shirt.  I can't be mad because she's usually all smiley and snuggly when she does it, but it makes me fear my child.

She shrieks at any living thing that isn't doing what she wants.  A baby in target, a dog, the gorilla at the zoo... I don't know if it's a "pay attention to me... come here, you!" kind of thing or what, but it's similar to the noise she makes when she wants a sip of DH or my water, and it's LOUD.
  • She freaks out when I try to put her into her carseat.  She throws herself backwards, flips around, and screams as loud as possible.  It makes me so angry and it's embarrassing when we're out somewhere and I can't get my 20 pound baby into the car.

  • Besides everything that is already listed...

When she is done eating something or doesn't like it that day she makes sure I am paying attention stares me straight in the eye and drops it over her highchair.  and then laughs.  because you know it's hilarious that I have to simultaneously scold her and try and my fatty mcfatterson dog away from his loot.

Hahaha. I read that way too quickly the first time. I thought it said "playing with the dog's balls."  And I was not thinking of the sport types of balls.
