Anyone from Florida? Need help!(sunshinylees)

Ladies!! Sorry this is totally not baby related but DH and I need some help with planning a vacation to Florida this Dec!!
We are planning on visiting my aunt near Clearwater for a week then renting a condo or house for 2 weeks in southern Florida where it's warmer. Thing is, we dont know much about Florida and where would b a good spot and my aunt is useless with that stuff. We've been to Miami but thinking that may not b the best place to bring a 5 month year old? Unless anyone knows of family friendly areas there? We don't want the Keys( too expensive). Can anyone suggest a good beach town that's got some life to it so were not completely bored but is family friendly in more of the south where it's hotter in dec?? It will b us, our baby, my parents and my brother and his Gf!

    Ft Myers/ Naples/sanibel. Southwest Florida. About 2.5 hour drive from Clearwater. Great beaches and lively towns, yet very relaxed not party atmosphere. We are in Naples and things close at like 10-11 pm lol

    Thank u so much!!!! Im going to research those towns in the am!! Which one of those three places you think would b the best to stay for a few weeks? What about Marco Island? Is the weather similar to Miami in december?
