I'd also like to add...

Teething stinks.

DS is cutting his last two FIRST year molars, and apparently today is extra bad because he's been miserable. He's surprisingly an accident free kid (knock on wood), so "boo boo" and "hurt" aren't really in his vocabulary. I keep asking if he has a boo boo in his mouth or if his mouth hurts, but he just cries. It's sad.

People usually tell me that it must be easier to go through teething with an older baby because they would be able to tell you what is wrong, but all I'm getting is a miserable, moaning, teary-eyed mess of a toddler who has no idea what the heck is going on.

Are the two year molars worse than the first, or about the same? I feel like I asked this question before when he finally cut the first molar...I should go dig through my old posts.

  • We didn't even notice the one year molars. Two year? Whoooo baby! Nasty buggers.

  • My guy is miserable too. He's drooling again and putting his hands in his mouth all day. Poor guy.
  • We have been pretty lucky so far because aside from chewing on her hands/fingers nonstop for the past 2 months, DD2 doesn't seem to be too bothered by the 2-year molars. I hope it stays that way.

  • With DD, we used Highlands teething tablets and they were great! I would ask her if she wanted her medicine and she would say yes when they bothered her too bad.
