One month old and nursing every hour

My DS is one month old and nurses every hour during the day. His weight is good but he is a snacker, usually nursing for less then 10 minutes then falls asleep for 30-45 minutes then is up again wanting to eat. I know every baby is different but please someone tell me I'm not alone and that their house is trashed too and that nothing gets done!

I lived on the couch until DD was *at least* 6 weeks old. It'll get better, hang in there!

I didn't do much for the first 6 weeks either. It got a lot better for me after the 6 week growth spurt.

This. All I did was watch TV and nurse LO those first 6 weeks. I felt like I never moved off the couch. It will get better!

Yep, and to this day, I still nurse on demand (not as much, obviously). It's the babies primary need right now. I was a walking milk cow for 2 months straight. They need the nutrition, closeness and comfort. Don't fight it. Make hubby or family help out!

Agreed with everyone else! 6 weeks was really a turning point for us, too.

I'm with you, at 3 weeks old all LO wants to do is eat and sleep, just waiting for the day we can go out freely without her needing to eat all the time!
