1st Period & Depo Shot

Hey y'all! Congrats on the new editions to your families. I have a quick question though....i got the depo shot shortly after my 6week check up as a safe form of birth control since i was still nursing at the time. Shortly after I got the shot I recieved my first period ....its now been over a month and a half and im getting really frustrated. Even though the dr said it was normal...has this ever happened to anyone else? and how long is this supposed to last?

    Depends on each person. My first time on depo, I never had a period for the 2 years I was on it. I'm back on it now and haven't had a period yet. My sister has been on 3 months and had some spotting for a few days. Then I had a friend who spotted consistently for 5 months. No one can tell you how long it will last. Everyone will have a different experience on it.
