where does LO nap?

Where does your LO nap? Should they be 100% napping in their crib? DD naps in her swing(when she actually takes a nap), I occasionally try her crib but usually she'll wake up in 5 mins.

Re: where does LO nap?

  • Her crib, her stroller, or her car seat. It makes me a little sad that she won't nap on me anymore.
I've tried having DD nap on me this morning. She moved her head back and forth super fast like she's very uncomfortable. It was sad :(

  • Most of our naps are finally in the crib now, but DS will also nap in the car or stroller if we are on the go. Also, he's in the process of dropping the third nap and I'm finding over the last few days that sometimes it happens, and sometimes it doesn't, so to save myself any unnecessary struggle I'll take him for an evening walk and if needs the extra shut-eye he'll take it then. In a week and a half he'll be napping in a PnP at daycare - hope that goes okay!  :-S

I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!

  • We split naps between the swing or pack n play. He also naps well in the stroller when were out and about, but those are usually just cat naps. His longest naps are almost always in the pack n play. He also naps in a swing or pack n play at the sitters house.
  • Usually in crib but if he wakes up really crabby I but him in his swing he falls asleep in the car sometimes but we don't go many places every once in a while he will fall asleep nursing in me and I just leave him except at night I will just cuddle him for 15-30 minute then put him in his crib
  • Nearly all of his naps are in his crib at this point. He will occasionally fall asleep in his carseat but those naps don't last too long anymore. He needs the dark and quiet of his crib for a restful nap, it seems, as he is getting older.

  • I'm jealous you guys still have kids who fit in the swing ! Thank was our saving grace for 3 mos but my giant has been out of it since then ! We do naps in the crib at home but if we are out and he falls
Asleep in the car seat // stroller that's fine too.
  • Naps and sleeps at night in my bed. ::snuggle::

    Anniversary

  • Mostly in her crib....occasionally in her carseat if we are out and she gets tired....but I move her to crib when we get home if she still wants to sleep.

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.

We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

  • I don't think there's any real "should," so if what you're doing works, I'd stick with it, although if you have the patience and energy, you could try switching to where you'd eventually want all naps to be. DD2 has 95% of her naps in her crib, but in that was she is the complete opposite of DD1. DD1 would only nap on me for the first 7 months of her life (and regressed around 8 months and slept on me for another 3 weeks before moving back to her crib). DD2 has refused to nap on me pretty much since the beginning. She did in the hospital, but that was it. The 5% of her naps that aren't in the crib are in the stroller when we're on walks. She won't even sleep in the Ergo anymore.
