Pull ups

We did the 3 day method and ds did well but continued to have a few accidents when he was"too busy" to go potty (would break away from what he was doing. Saying no potty then having an accident). We ended up using pull ups when we went to sesame place this weekend and they worked great! He had fewer accident then when he was wearing underpants. I think he felt more secure knowing that he was"protected". We've continued to use them this week with success. A minor accent here and there but nothing like the big accidents with the underwear. Anyone else have success with pull ups/ like using them? I've only heard negative things about pull ups being too much like diapers. I'm thinking to give him a few more weeks with the pull ups and then trying underwear again. Btw ds is 24 months.

    My daughter wears pull ups most of the time and unfortunately is more than happy to "go" in them, instead of on the potty.  I'm about to start the 3 day method with her in a few weeks when I have some vacation time and DS starts Kindergarten.  My DD is 2 yrs, 3 months and definitely ready to learn but stay at home DH does not reinforce consistently enough.  Some things just need the "Mommy touch!"

    We also did the 3 day method and just dealt with the accidents at home as they came but daycare wasn't able to accommodate free-flowing accidents so she's been in Pull-Ups during daycare for the last 6 weeks. While I do think that it's slowed the learning process, she did have her first full day dry at daycare yesterday and had been at only 2 Pull-Ups per day for the previous week, so I think we'll be able to switch over to 24/7 undies after this bag of pull-ups runs out. I think you can have success with Pull-Ups but just not as quickly. We show her how she's kept them dry and try to teach her to recognize going in them as "accidents" even though her clothes stay dry.

    We did the three day method and whenever leaving the house put him in big boy underwear with a pullup on top under his pants. Worked great. Only a couple accidents out in two weeks. We called the pull ups "outside underwear" and he only wore them when we went out.
