Hi everyone I'm at 5 weeks and first time prego. I know everyone says its safe to have sex while pregnant, but I'm still hesitant since its still early. What are your thoughts. My first doc appointment is sept 12 and I was going to wait till then lol. I just feel bad for my husband. Hahaha don't get me wrong he's very understanding but I feel for him lol hahaha.

    Have sex, it's fine. You can have sex from the time you convenience all the way up until labor. 

    The only reason to avoid sex would be if your doctor told you because you were high-risk for some reason.

    I'm in the same boat! I am 8 weeks, but don't feel comfortable until I ask my doctor and our next appointment is next Thursday. DH has been understanding about it at least! I know I've read it's safe, but I want to get the all-clear from my doctor first!

    My doctor said sex was fine. DH is nervous about it, and me too a little.

    There are other ways to be intimate other than intercourse though! Give intimate massages, oral, or manual to each other until you are comfortable and want to have intercourse.

    My DH and I chose to wait until we can see a heartbeat just to ease our own minds.

    Talk to your DH about your fears and go from there.

    Sex is fine unless your doctor told you that you shouldn't have sex for some reason. Your baby is burrowed deep in your uterine wall and is safe there, even with a lot of bumping and grinding.

    Unless you have some reason to think you're high-risk, then sex is just fine, and will be fine unless a doctor specifically tells you otherwise.   I would recommend you have as much sex as you can while you feel like it:-)

    I feel the same way! It is my first too. We have had sex, but it makes me nervous. Dr. said it was fine though!
