Recommend your nursing pads. I'm using lansinoh disposibles and they're ok but I'm wondering if there are better ones out there or if I should switch to reusable ones. Suggestions? Thanks!
I like the Ameda brand, have tried the Lansinoh but they make my nipples itchy for some reason. Bought washable but ended up leaking everywhere many times a day *sigh*
I second bamboobies. They are so much softer than disposables. Luckily, my leaking issues are coming to an end. Now I just have issues with the boob not in use while I'm nursing.
I've been using Target's Up and Up disposable ones. They absorb just fine, but the adhesive sticker on the back peels off every time. Does this happen with the name brands?
I've been using J&J. They're kind of visible in a thin shirt, but I also don't have a good nursing bra yet so I've been wearing sleep bras & tanks, which are also thinner.
Lansinoh & Medela were both super itchy for me, but I haven't had leakage through any.
I was wondering about reusable ones - anyone have a strong rec to that end, that doesn't have to be changed constantly?

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.

This. I thought DS peed in his PJs until I figured out it was my other boob resting on him and leaking onto him while I fed him on the other side. Oops, sorry buddy.
I bought a box of lansinoh ones since I had used those with my boys and liked them. but I have a latex allergy that's gotten much worse since having them and I guess the lansinoh ones have latex in them (I read the box and looked online before buying them and found nothing about it) they drove me nuts when I put them on. so I got the washable nuk ones from Target. at first I did not like them as they were stiff, but now that they have been washed a lot I like them.

The adhesive doesn't stick, I'm not sure if that's what you mean.
I love the reusable ones. I have like 10 sets of them. I put new ones in everyday and just wash them when I wash LO's clothes. I mostly leak at night and they hold it better than disposables...also, the disposables have a "chemically" smell to them when they get wet which I don't like especially because LO BF.
I have been using Bamboobies, and like them a lot. The daytime ones are not super absorbent though, but at nearly 8 weeks, my leakage has calmed considerably so they work well for me, and you can't see them through your shirt. I was using lansinoh disposable ones, but I hated the thought of those chemicals against my nips, and thus LO ingesting them, besides the waste.
I love the Ameda ones. I tried Lanisoh and I felt like the inside of them got all lumpy as soon as they got even a tiny bit of moisture. The Ameda ones last me all day and you can't see them through a shirt
I have only tried the Medela and Target brands . I like the Medela because they seem to hold a lot and are curved. The target brand are a flat circle and look bunched up under my bra

The little rectangle of adhesive actually balls up and separates from the pad. Then the stupid little blob of gummy goo gets in my clothes or on me. Kind of annoying.
I like the lansinoh disposable ones. I bought some reusable ones, but a) they were smaller than the disposables, and were a bit too small for me, b) they were bulky enough that I could totally see them through my shirt and c) they were a bit leaky. I'll probably wear them when I get to the point where I'm not nursing as often, and am not leaving the house but will stick with the disposables for now.
I prefer the Medela disposible ones. I leak a lot and they absorb while keeping me dry. They also don't show through my bra/shirt. I have a couple reusable pairs - cotton and bamboo - but I have to take them off early in the day bc they get wet and then stay wet. It's gross.
I love the Ameda ones. Ive tried Tommee Tippee and Lansinoh and didn't like either. I had to change the TT's too often (like twice during a feeding) and the Lansinoh's were itchy.
I use avent washable ones. They get the job done for me. I put the first years nipple cream on a couple times a day to prevent cracking and sticking to the pads.
