I have an interview that will be held at a local cafe. I already had a phone interview and it went well. It seems this is more of a formal introduction and to sign a contract. What would be the best attire to wear? I normally wear a navy blue pant suit with a button down shirt to interviews but It is going to be mid 80 degrees and also I usually interview at a corporate office instead of cafe.
Re: Interview attire
It is working for a software dev company. The team telecommutes and meetings are usually via Skype.
I would go with dress slack and button down shirt or blouse and flats instead of heels. No jacket.
IMO it is always better to be over dressed then underdressed.
I had an interview like this and I wore slacks, a blouse, and dress shoes. If you want to be on the safe side you can always wear the jacket in and take it off if you get a sense that it's more casual.
I agree that it is always better to be over dressed, but I think ladies can look as professional as "suit attire" without actually wearing a suit.
