My baby is almost one and I feel like crying

Does anyone else feel this way???? I am not looking forward to her birthday. I feel like I am going to be a WRECK. How is my baby ONE!! The time went by so fast and I know I can never have that squishy little baby back again. It kinda breaks my heart!
I know I will have fun at her birthday party but I feel like the night before I am going to bawl my damn face off and eat an entire tub of icecream in sadness.

Yes, yes, yes! We are going to a first birthday party this weekend and it just reminds me how close DS birthday is. Everytime I think about it I just want to bawl!!! When I look at his newborn pics and his current pics I can't believe that that is my BABY. I think I'm just gonna go have a good cry now.

Exactly. It feels like six months hit and as we made our way out of the baby phase where she didn't really do much and entered into the development phase where she learned something new every day or week, time started flying by. And now I am a week away from her first birthday. sadsies!!!

I was totally denying that I am about to have a toddler. I kept thinking until he is toddling (walking) he IS NOT a toddler. He took his first steps last night. While I am super proud of him, I am so sad

While i get that time flies, sorry i can not relate. I am so excited for LO to be one. I was never the type to be, "Oh my god, i'm turning 30" either though.

I haven't turned 30 yet, but I'll get back to you on how I deal with that, too :P

I didn't care at all about turning 30. I want to hide in bed and cry all day when I think about Sawyer turning one. It just goes by so quickly, it can be hard to accept sometimes. I have loved every age that my kids have been so far, I know I shouldn't be sad about them growing up. But it does break my silly mommy heart a little bit.

Also, I am a crier. I realized this was a problem when I got all choked up watching Teen Beach Movie with my 7 year old.

I think it's totally okay to be sad. You don't realize how fast time marches on until you're watching your little one grow up right before your eyes. I've even been thinking lately that someday she will grow up and I won't get snuggles any more. Damn, I need to get it togetha.

Yes! I think about it now & cry b/c when she was itty bitty, I really struggled with adjusting to being a mom of two & didn't bond with her the way I feel I should have. And now I think, damn, she is almost one & after that, time goes even faster. She will never be a baby again & I missed it!

With DS, his party was the day before his actual birthday & we had a great time at the party. Then his actual bday was spent as a quiet day at home. I was nursing him at the exact time of his birth & I bawledddddddddd. ugh

YES. I am getting so sad because her birthday is in 10 days!! I am a crier too and I am going to allow myself to cry hard the night before and morning of her birthday. I'm so sad.
