The pacifier game...

So Benjamin has decided to play a game in the middle of the night. He takes his pacifier out of his mouth and throws it out of his crib and screams bloody murder until I get it and give it back to him. If that doesn't work then he rolls on to his tummy and scoots into the corner of his crib and traps himself in the corner (he only knows how to scoot one direction at this point). Needless to say sleep has not been my friend. Lol he has officially started reverse army crawling this week (only knows how to go backwards). I will be baby proofing this weekend!

Re: The pacifier game...

  • I've heard of parents leaving 4, 5, 6 pacifiers in the crib, so their LO can always find one.... worth a shot? :)

  • Yeah, been there.  I put 4 paci's in her crib so she can usually find another when she loses one.  I also put up a breathable bumper so she can't throw them out as easily.

  • I've heard my friends talk about this game...luckily DS never took to pacifiers but I'm sure he'll do the same with his security blanket or something. Hope the multiple pacifiers work for you!
The pick up game is one of DS's favorite games right now, usually with toys and usually in places where I don't want him to drop things (like the grocery store, outside, etc).

    Henry Cavill...You're welcome!

  • My Benjamin gets 7 in his crib at night and sometimes he gets one and sometimes he is stubborn. If he really wants me to come in he rotates 90 degrees and screams bloody murder when he bangs his head. We also do the breathable bumpers. And I too will be baby proofing against my backwards scooter!

  • DD does this ALL the time, so DH and I have started leaving one or two on the dresser by her bed. It's so odd how they just wake up and scream bloody murder out of nowhere. Nightmares? It freaks me out!

  • DD is OK if she loses her pacifier in the middle of the night, but every few days we run out and have to pull the crib out from the wall and collect them!

  • Oh this game is getting so old lol. We also put about 5 extras in her bed, but they are so we can easily find them as she will not grab one and put it in her mouth (and she can do it).

We are also playing the turning over game. She can roll each way when out of bed, and sit up on her own but in the middle of the night she flips over to her back and all the sudden she's a turtle. She won't roll back over. Silly babies.

  • DD stands in the corner of the crib and throws her pacifier out. I've watched her do it on the iBaby before. Drives me insane.
  • DD's pacifier tends to be thrown out of the crib as well. I have to hunt for it in the morning because my dachshund is a notorious pacifier eater! I am seriously down to about 2 pacis. Luckily she's not super attached to the pacifier but it's still frustrating!

  • Having a few in the crib is a good idea! We only own 4 pacifiers and 2 I keep in my bag for when we're out and about. Some nights DD does okay if she loses her pacifier or will go to sleep with out it. And then there's nights where we play this game ugh.
