September 2012 Moms

The dog just ate my cupcake :(

It was an amazing double chocolate gourmet cupcake shipped to work by a coworkers mom... I only got one bite. He has been disowned for the night :(

  • That sucks. Badly. :(

Can you drown your sorrows in some mediocre-in-comparison ice cream?

So far with what I have in the house it is either brownies or chocolate chip pancakes that will have to be my replacement. That dick. I may be opening some wine tonight lol.

I'd be giving him hydrogen peroxide. No way no hell would he get the satisfaction of that digesting in his stomach!!!

I hope you wouldn't actually induce emesis just because a dog ate something you wanted...

  • Not because the dog are what you wanted, but isn't chocolate dangerous for dogs? I'd be watching him like hawk at the very least. And depending on his size and amount of ingested chocolate, I would call the vet.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering about the chocolate.

We had to call the vet because our older pug (back when he was an only child) got into a bag of bridge mix that my GMIL, in her infinite wisdom, left out and open. When DH called the vet, they told him what to look for to bring him in, but also said that it's baker's chocolate that is the dangerous stuff.

Either way, it's not good for them to have it. Poor Pug was shaking from all of the caffeine he had from the chocolate.
My dog has eaten an entire pound of chocolate fudge. He was fine. Chocolate may not be healthy, but it doesn't hurt all dogs.
