A little late... update! !!

Xander Dylan made his appearance Saturday the 17th at 7:22am! Weighing in at 8lbs 2.3 oz and 20.5".   He was a very easy labor and delivery (like one long push easy).  He did have some breathing issues shortly after birth that caused some concern for about 30 minutes but then the NNP brought him back and said he was perfect!   He latched on great for the first two days however as they did his newborn checks and blood work he was slightly jaundiced so we had to stay an extra day and he started having bf issues since he was 'under the lights' for so long...so now we are supplementing (hoping to stop and go back to EBF soon).   He had lost down to 6lbs 14.o oz at his first dr appointment yesterday so we go back Friday for a bilirubin and weight check (T&Ps please)    He is a sweet baby boy and hardly ever cries...and his older brothers ADORE him... think fighting over who gets to 'hold' him and the ds1 just sits and watches him!.     Xander went back to the doctor yesterday and his bilirubin is ok (still slightly yellow so he gets a lot of sunshine time) and he had gained back 4oz. We did find out he'll haveto be FF due to me not making enough milk after him not feeding while under the blue lights :( I'm happy he at least got all the "good stuff" (colostreum *sp). Happy healthy baby is the main thing!!
