nursery deodorizer?

Do you use something that effectively deodorizes the nursery? By effective I mean it doesn't allow the smell of poop to linger too long. I've tried a couple things, plus I keep a ceiling fan on low pretty much all day to circulate the air, but sometimes that potent smell still lingers or the scent is way too strong. I'm wondering if there's another more effective product out there that's also not too strong on little nostrils.

  • We have the diaper genie so there is no smell. Maybe try one?

  • You could try Fresh Wave. It's an all natutal odor neutralizing line of products. They have a spray and also gel crystals. Sold at Bed Bath and Beyond and I think they have a website.

I have a Scentsy circle in the newborn nursery scent hanging inside my diaper genie (like the underneath part where you empty it). It seems to help.

ETA: no wait. It's not a circle. It's the Scentsy bag that is supposed to be used in the animal/stuffed thingys, but I think those are ridiculous.

We have the diaper dekor and as long as we use the matching bags we dont smell anything except for about 5 seconds after dropping a diaper into the can. We tried using regular trash bags with baking soda and a air freshener and the room stunk within 3 days.

  • I think there are air fresheners you can stick on the inside of your diaper pail lid. I've seen them on trash cans anyway so I imagine they'd work for the dg as well..? Maybe give that a shot.

We have this also. We also bought the little arm and hammer sticky deodorizers but using the appropriate bags, we don't even really need them. They do fit on the inside of the lid.
