Question for the mums. What are your thoughts on bouncers? I see some have a vibration function, some play music, some have toys. What's worked best with your kids? Thanks
Some bouncers come with all of the above, but the one thing that really helps is the vibration, it helps soothe their achy bellies and helps them sleep.
Loved ours. We had the snug a bunny and used the vinbrate a lot in the beginning. She napped in it until she got on a schedule. Sometimes if she didn't go back in her crib she would sleep in it at night in our room. It has music too but we didn't use it.
The vibrate part did nothing for DD...she was completely indifferent to whether or not it was on. Toys were great, but not until she was older- at least 3 or 4 months? Soft lullaby-like music can be great, but whether it comes in the bouncer itself, or from another toy or swing or cd probably doesn't matter.
All that to say, the best part of the bouncer is that it's portable, and baby is happy sleeping in it or using it like a chair to look around and interact. All of the bells and whistles will be enjoyed by some babies and not others, and you may not know what your kid will like until your kid is here. That said, for the newborn stage, it's mainly a place to sleep or sit.

This, but for us it was the vibration setting that was the most useful in the beginning.
Great thanks wasn't sure if all the gadgets were necessary but I think I'll look for one with the vibration setting and a spot for toys. If rather play nice music on a cd. Seen then on eBay for as little as 99c
My twins loved theirs. We couldn't have done with out them. Area were fisher price I think, hand-me-down from my sister and a friend. Oh and had all of the functions from above.
