  I was admitted at 31 weeks to hbr due to pttl and my cervix had dilated to 2cm and it shortened to 1.7 and was 60 % effaced. I ended up with preeclampsia too so im still here in the hospital. But I will be 33 wks tomm so just hold in there and pray. Idk what my cervix is now though bc they wont chk it anymore for risk of starting labor or infection. I have received everything mag, steriods, procardia, endacin to stop contracrions and help my body but ive conrinued to have contractions but luckily they ease off after awhile. Its scary to think I cld have them at anytime but I trust God and I just pray that he guides the drs taking care of me to do whats best. Btw I also have hypothyroidism.

  I was on home bed rest from weeks 20-23, hospital bed rest from 23-30 and back at home since 30. I'm 34/2 today. At the worst, I was 90% effaced, 2/3 cm dilated with bags buldging. After my cervix got to .6 and i was dilated, they stopped checking. That was at like 28 weeks. Like a lot of the other women on here, I've had magnesium, indocin, you name it. I also have GD. Follow the doctors instructions and do everything they say. Have you started progesterone shots? They're worth asking about. My doctor said that they're proven to help 1 out of 3 women make it closer to term. Bed rest really sucks but you're doing the best thing for your baby. Good luck, mama!

  My last pregnancy, my cervix shortened to 1.3 at 24 weeks.  Was admitted for HBR and held steady until I delivered at 35 weeks.  Stay positive-you've got some length, which to me means something to work with!
