60 day rule

Does the 60 day rule still apply, if you quit breast feeding only 2 months prior? I haven't had a period for 66 days. I test weekly, and I am not pregnant. I was supposed to see my ob gyn this week for a separate issue, buthadto cancel, and now I am not seeng him until next month. Would you call? I have had 2-3 regularish cycles already.

Take this with a grain of salt, since I have PCOS and am used to very long cycles, but I probably wouldn't call. Your body is most likely still trying to get back in the swing of things from when you were breastfeeding. I'd keep testing weekly and just bring it up at your appointment next month.

  • @martha919, it means that if you haven't had a period or a positive pregnancy test in 60 days to call your doctor :)

  • 60 days no period.... You are supposed to call your doctor. And thanks ladies. I had planned to wait, but my friend at work kept giving me crap about it. I feel a migraine coming on, so maybe I am going to ovulate soon. I have gone 90 days without a period before. It was after I stopped bcp to have my dd.
  • What the heck?! Where have I been? I swear sometimes that I missed the womanhood orientation. Good to know.
