Late August/Early September mamas

Remember this time last year, when we were cursing our cervixes and secretly hating everyone posting "OMG I'M IN LABOR!!!" ????

I can't remember who all was in the club with me, but I know at least @C_Mo was there. The increasingly bitter and defeated "Who's still pregnant" check ins were her idea, and I remember it felt so satisfying to post a nice rant about the stupid moon and how it wouldn't work its voodoo moon magic on me. 40w5d until Baby Aggie finally made her debut, and those last 3 weeks were madness. Oh, memories.

We should brainstorm interesting lies we can title our posts with when we want to do 1st birthday pics of our kiddos. You know, to trick innocent A12 mamas into opening them instead of just going, "Bleeeerg, not ANOTHER birthday post..." ;-)

Today was my labor day! I woke up at 2:00 and didn't sleep again until 10:00 PM the 21st.

I mostly lurked on the multiples board back then but, still checked on you gals too.

I kept thinking, they told me these shits would come early! I had to be induced on my due date. 58" around. Over 15lbs of babies and placentas. Jesus.

@Baker_Bride, I feel your pain! I went into labor at 11pm on the 25th, naturally I had already been up awake all day. Besides nodding off here and there between contractions, I didn't sleep until about 2am on the 28th. Even now, I can hardly wrap my mind around that.

Aug 27th mama here! I was just looking at pictures yesterday at how big I was. It made me a little sad. I can't believe my LO is going to be a year old in ONE WEEK!!! Where did the time go???!!!

The 21st was my due date, and I cried before bed when I never went into labor. J is a 28th baby.

Oh gawd - i think i was in labor for 5 days before giving birth - not really - but it just felt like that! Uncomfortable, uncomfortable, uncomfortable - and sooo damn hot! I was due Aug 29th or 26th (depends which ultra sound you refer too) - but had him on the 22nd.

W was actually born the day before his due date! I was surprised. I was convinced I would go to 42/43 weeks. Being a first time mom, W being sunny side up, and he hadn't dropped yet at 39 weeks, I just knew he'd be born in September. So when my water broke 8/23 at 11pm, it really caught me off guard. Especially because I had an appt that day and my MW told me I was closed like fort knox, and barely effaced. Dude came in a hurry 12 hours later, though!

I had DD September 1 so I hated you all for 2 weeks. I especially hated you after my due date since I went a week and a half overdue. I like you now, though

9/5/12 checking in! 40w 6d. False labor 3 nights in a row. C-section bc my kid was huge and couldn't fit her linebacker shoulders through my child-birthing hips. Fun times!

I was 37 weeks this time last year. I was expecting a c-section in two weeks and had dropped my DH off at the airport, as he had to go to England for work for a few days. I got home at noon, and my water broke at 1:15 PM. Eryn made her arrival by surprise VBAC just after 4 PM, I was expecting a September baby one year ago today.

9/1/2012 here. 5 long (looong) days overdue. She was fast and furious in her arrival once she decided to show- I try not to think of that though. I still get all teary when I remember how close we came to losing her that night.

Started pushing Friday the 31st around 10pm, and she was delivered by c section at 1:05am on September first. Our stubborn little blue moon baby. Love her!

@Saltylove - I forgot you were, too! My OB didn't think DD would come on her own so had scheduled an induction for the 3rd since I would have been 42 weeks at that point. DD had other plans

I'm thankful, though, because her heart rate was unsteady at my appointment the day before I had her and I would have been freaking out all weekend that something would go wrong!

Oh my gosh all of these 40wwhatever days make my stomach turn. I am so glad I never went over my due date. Those last few weeks are miserable!
I'm looking forward to everyone's bday/cake/party pics post!!!

Ugh...me. Today was my due date...tomorrow is the date they induced me because I had pretty much been walking around in pre labor for 3 or 4 weeks...and K was born on the 22nd. So, not too bad, but still annoying.

I was due aug 30th. After a 2 day hospital stay, being sent home, then brought back for an induction, a placental abruption, emergency csection he arrived on the 25th. When all that was going on all I could do was look at the posts about squishy newborns and think next time I want to be due at the beginning of the month.

I just want to chime in that I was way overdue too. DD came at 41 weeks 3 days, I was induced because I'm not sure she'd have ever come out on her own. I was hot and miserable, and HUGE!

Haha I was thinking about this yesterday. 3 days from now will be the day I went for my 39 w check in, after my doctor said he wouldn't be surprised if I didn't make it to 39 w. I was determined, and I did... and then he went to check me and said "Lets see, you're - WOAH that's a head," and he poked Chloe's giant noggin an angered her. And when I said no I hadn't been having contractions they hooked me up to a machine for a NST and I proved I wasn't and Chloe was napping so they gave me a Dr. Pepper. But as soon as I left the office the very infrequent contractions started. (ETA: I didn't realize they were contractions until 3am when they were 2 minutes apart and woke me up.)

I wasn't ready for her to come out yet. I'm the crazy pants who wanted to go to AT LEAST 41 weeks.

August 23rd here, she was 1 week and 1 day "late" for her due date. It is so freaking hot here I seriously can't figure out how I put up with that last year at this time. I also would give just about anything to be able to re-live L&D and I had some major tears and not so funny business going on! Still wish I could live it again! Obviously I got the drugs, and they were good
