OK, this is gross, and probably a dumb question, but I have to ask.
About 90 to 95 percent of the time, Em's poops are very pale. Anywhere from beige to almost white. She's also constipated a lot, but it's pale even when she's not constipated. She's been on WCM for a while now and grazes as opposed to eating full meals. She had pale poop once or twice around 4ish months of age, but now it's all the time.
I know that light colored poop can be a sign of a problem, so at Em's checkup I asked her pedi about it. This is a new pedi (our old pedi doesn't participate with our new insurance) so he doesn't have first hand knowledge of all of her eating issues way back in Feb. He didn't ask for a sample, didn't really say much, except that he doesn't worry about the color of poop unless there's blood in it.
I had similar issues as a toddler and ended up with all kinds of horrible tests/meds/you name it, which I'm not really inclined to have done to Em, especially if I'm just over-worrying. I did grow up to have severe gastric issues, but I don't know that it's related.
So here's my question: would you press this issue? Insist on taking them a sample? (Can you do that?) Am I just being a paranoid helicopter mom?
Re: Poop Q
I think I'll put in a call and ask a few more questions.
