alarming mfm appointment

We had an appointment with our high-risk doctor today. Both babies are growing perfectly but it appeared that Baby A has a prominent lung. The doctor said it could be nothing but it could mean she has an infection or chromosomal abnormality like down syndrome. They are running more blood tests, I have another ultrasound on monday, and my anatomy scan on September 6th so we will find out more soon. I'm so upset and worried. I just want my babies to be perfect. The worry and waiting are by far the worst parts of pregnancy! Thanks for listening.

    The worst part was I didn't feel like this doctor had no idea what she was taking about. She didn't answer any of my questions. I asked her if it was possible for one twin to have downs and not the other and she said yes, but everything I read says that it's impossible for one identical twin to have a chromosomal disorder and not the other. It's just so upsetting and frustrating.

    I'm so sorry for all of this stress! One of my boys had a prominent bowel and we got the same speech. It later resolved, but it was a scary few weeks. Many hugs and positive thoughts your way!!

    Thanks everyone. I called and asked for another specialist to look at my scans and give me a second opinion and some clarification. I'm just waiting for them to call me back.
