Positive test

I can not believe I am posting this. I can not believe this is happening to me. I got some courage and bought a test I'm just a week late. Pee on a stick and then it looked off. Like blurry. Well I wait it comes on. I "think" I read negative. But I am at work and set it aside. Then I come back 10 min later and "I think" I read positive. Wtf!!! Test can be defective right??? And I know u cant read it after a certain time but seriously! I feel sick to my stomach. And I have to wait until 2 to go buy another real expensive digital one! I might throw up!!! I admit it I'm scared.

    Not to scare you more...but I thought it was more likely to get a false negative than a false positive...

    Thanks. I was not really trying but I am not sure how I feel right now. Will run out to store as soon as i see 2pm!! Its only 1 in texas.

    You're not supposed to read a test outside of the time limit. Results outside of that window aren't reliable. It could be an evap line. Follow the instructions.

    Same thing happened to me before DS. I took a test and thought it was negative after less than a minute so I left. When I came back to it like an hour later it looked positive. Took another test and it was for sure positive. Good luck to you!

    I don't mean to be rude either, but if you don't want to be pregnant than I'd highly recommend getting on a reliable form of birth control -- otherwise, you're gonna have to play this game of russian roulette every month and that is no fun.

    I'm on CD36 and no sign of my period.  Have taken 3 tests, all negative.  But if it was positive that would be okay with me. :-)

    We all have those moments of "oh I want another one" but when I was actually there today it was too much! I actually did have this conversation about 45 min ago with SO. And I am thinking IUD but will do a doctor's appointment and see what works best. Sometimes it is the way things are said that just come off wrong. Or I'm on a sensitive day one of those two.

    You just don't want to be in a situation where you have a pregnancy that isn't wanted or isn't the right timing or whatever.
