Schwinn Jogging Stroller?

Anybody have a Schwinn Turismo jogging stroller?  I'm looking to get a decent quality jogging stroller, but I don't think I'd use it enough to warrant the $300-$400 for a BOB.  (I might use it once or twice a week for jogging.  LO is almost 11 months.  We already have an umbrella stroller and a regular stroller that I like.) It looks like the Graco, the Schwinn and the City Mini are more in my price range.  Anybody have any raves or rants about one or the other?

  • I never thought of turning a bike trailer into a stroller.  We do bike occasionally, and were just talking the other day that we'd like to bike more now that DS1 is getting big enough to actually keep up with us. Thanks for the suggestion.

On the City Mini - there's something on Amazon called a City Mini Jogger.  I assumed it was a jogger, but maybe I'm wrong.

I think that's a mislabel.  The company Baby Jogger (who makes the City Mini) does make jogging strollers but they have a different name.  I think their joggers are the Summit.

Good to know.  I will scratch that one off the list.  Thanks for saving me the headache of having to return something that wasn't what I wanted!!

  • I know someone that has a Schwinn jogging stroller and that thing looks like the biggest pita. It is GIANT and watching her trying to maneouvre it is just plain entertaining. I think it's sole purpose is to get out the door and jog in one straight line or you're screwed.
I second the bike trailer. LOTS of ppl swear by these for jogging and even just casual use around the city.

I bought a double Schwinn jogging stroller on CL for $50 and it has been great. We only use it a few times a month but I am so glad we have it. I also have a Schwinn bike trailer and I would hate to use that thing as my stroller, but I love it for a double bike trailer.

  • We have the Schwinn Turismo and love it.  Got it from target for super cheap.  It's been great to us.

  • I have the Schwinn Turismo and I LOVE it.  I used it while training for a half marathon as well as trail walk/runs and have never had an issue.  It is a jogger so it is larger than my regular stroller (as expected) but can fold and lift easily into my car.  It is also very affordable and does not make you buy all the handy little accessories that add up to an already expensive baby item.  I highly recommend!
