It's sooo hot!!!

Ugh! I live in the freakin' desert - Phoenix - and it seems my air conditioner has decided to give out. It's over 90 degrees in the house and it won't be able to be fixed until at least the weekend! I have all the fans blowing on me and i'm still a sweaty mess. Who wants a house guest!?!

Was 108 here when the power went out yesterday. We just had AC installed in May. You just don't know how much you need it til you don't have it. I have a GF who lives in Phoenix now.

@RedDawnsRevenge Can I go stay with your GF??? But seriously, you couldn't pay me to live in AZ without AC. I'm originally from ON, Canada and we didn't have AC growing up - I don't know how we survived. Except it gets cooler there at night, so opening the windows for a breeze helped. There is no breeze here

That sucks! I'm in Phoenix too, and my car thermometer said 113 on my way home from work. We just replaced our AC 2 months ago. Fx for a speedy fix!

Reno's finally cooling down while it storms away outside. I'm hoping this storm will help blow all the smoke from the forest fire away. Now if I could only convince DH to go get me some deep fried pickles, the night would be perfect . . . :P

I'm in Phoenix too (well, Gilbert, but close enough). I feel like I"m melting. I moved from the bay area in California last year, so this heat is hard. It'll get cooler next month, right?

You can count on it cooling off by Halloween

September is still 100 deg days...but then winter is gorgeous!!

@CalinAZ are you crazy!? I LOOOVE the bay area - well SF. Of course, i'm not a millionaire...so I can't live there. But yes, sept is still hot

@TallaB We had to move for DH's work. I miss it like crazy. We'll definitely be moving back to Central or Northern CA by the time our kids are old enough to go to school. We definitely can't stay here forever

. Hopefully we'll be saving up enough money living here to be able to afford to live there!

@RedDawnsRevenge - what part? I have DH's family in Visalia. By Central CA, I should have specified central coast

. Though there's a chance it would be inland around Davis, Sonoma, or Fairfield. Not looking to move to Fresno or anything :P DH is a college professor so only location opportunities have to be near colleges. If he got a job at San Luis Obispo, that would be lovely!

@CalinAZ Well, I lived near Sacramento. I would have loved to live in SF though! Or San diego...maybe one day i'll get back to CA!
