Ok, not really. But, I would like to know if anyone can relate.
I've had to take the last 3 days off work because I keep loosing my vision. It's almost like when I get a migraine, but everything turns to light fragments, not dark spots. It lasts about 30 minutes and then I get a small headache and feel like I need to sleep for hours. It happened once Tues, twice yesterday, and once so far today.
I went to my Dr. yesterday and my blood pressure is 114/70 and the baby is having his/her normal dance party in there. I have my regular appt and A/S tomorrow and he said we'll revisit it if it's still happening then.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Re: I think I'm going blind
Not to that extreme with vision, but eye/vision problems can be normal. It is good you are being seen already and they will keep watching it.
When I was 20 weeks pregnant with DS2 I had a complex migraine that caused stroke like symptoms. I had speech and vision trouble and was in the hospital for several days. I had the whole stroke work up but all the could come up with was a complex migraine.
It was the scariest thing I have every experienced. It is sort of hard to explain what happened with my speech but I would be talking and the wrong words would come out. Like I was thinking what I wanted to say but complete nonsense was coming out of my mouth.
Holy crap! That would scare me to death. Luckily it's just the vision problems and I keep hoping it will go away. I guess I just expected this pregnancy to be nice and easy like with DD. Not so much. I'm not enjoying these strange symptoms.
Previous to pregnancy, I have had migraine auras without the migrane, which sounds similar to what you describe. First the edges of my vision sparkle, then anything I look at gets blurry, then everything goes all sparkly for about 20-25 minutes, at which point it goes away. Afterward, my head doesn't hurt, but it does feel like there was a giant party in there that no one has cleaned up after, and I feel kind of spacey for the next day or so. I only get this every once in a while, though, never so close together.
Are you prone to frequent migraines to begin with? Perhaps they are just manifesting differently in pregnancy. I would absolutely get it checked out, but if they say everything looks good and you are still having them, maybe go to a headache doc for suggestions? In the meantime, avoiding migraine triggers might help.

That sounds exactly like what it is. Before this pregnancy, I've only had one migraine. Then I had one at about 10 wks, and now this weirdness.
I'll talk to my doctor and tomorrow and see if it could be a migraine.
thanks!
