ok, so I am normally on the adoption board, and used to find my home on the infertility board. I had a crazy adoption story, and long crazy story short, I have two babies that are less than 3 months apart. The younger is a girl, so naturally she is developmentally right up there with my little man. She is also slightly bigger than he is!

Everyone thinks they are twins, they feel like raising twins, and all of my questions and topics I look online for are about twins! I know they are not "technically" twins, but I wondered if you all would not mind me coming around here a bit anyway

hoping to learn how you do it, and some tips to make the balancing act a bit easier. if I need to scram because I don't technically have multiples, then I suppose I can do that too

Welcome! I had a neighbor in a similar situation that you are in. They are originally from Ireland (well, the husband is anyway) and struggled to get pregnant. They decided to adopt an adorable little boy (they are white, he is black) and then found out she was pregnant. In THAT country it doesn't automatically mean you are ineligible to adopt when you get pregnant, so they went forward with the process. Their adopted son is 3 months older than their biological son, but I had never seen a more loving family. I thought they were twins too (yes, even though they were different races, it has happened before) and even asked when their birthday was. The mom looked at me like I was crazy and explained the situation. I just smiled and said "Oh, well that's wonderful! What a great thing to have happen!" They were a sweet family who sadly moved a short while back.
I'd say you qualify to be here. In my opinion anyway, for what that's worth.
