Jude is my top boy name and I've loved it for a while. I never asked anyone what they thought of it because I was so in love and nothing could change my mind. 

Now, I'm a little curious. What do you ladies think of Jude?

Bonus question: Does anyone know how popular (# on SSA) Jude is? Thanks! (Just curious. It could be #1 for all I care and I'd still be madly in love with it!)

    I love Jude.  A friend of mine just named her baby boy Jude a few months ago. I would keep it higher on my list, but it just doesn't flow well with my LN. 

    Also, it's #162 for 2012, which is lower than I expected.

    I never thought about Jude until coming to this board. It has grown on me a lot. In general though I prefer names with lots of syllables.

    My new nephew will be Julian, nn Jude. BIL is a huge Beatles fan, as well. My sis is doing a Yellow Submarine theme for his nursery :).

    DH and I Iove it! It's been on our list for years. I just don't know that it fits with our other children's names, so we most likely would never use it.

    I happen to love Eleanor as well, and then one day I realized that if we were to have a boy and girl and name them Jude and Eleanor, they'd both be in Beatles songs.  I'm referencing Eleanor as Eleanor Rigby. I can't remember if the song is actually called Eleanor Rigby or Lonely People.

     

    Anyway, the Beatles references are not deliberate.

    I'm not evena huge beatles fan, but I love the names in their songs.  I love Jude, Prudence, and Lucy.  I don't think I could ever actually use Prudence, but I love it.  I would totally love a sib set of Jude and Lucy! DH would never let me.

    I love this! I am a fan of Jude but it also doesn't really sound good with the last name... Julian however does!

    I love Jude- unfortunately DH had a bad association with one so it was out for us!  I may get a little tired of people singing Hey Jude though ;)  I don't know anyone with this naem by me and have three kids under 8 in school
