What will/did your 6-9 month girl wear in the winter?

New mom of a little girl here.  Dressing her this summer has been easy - rompers and little dresses with bloomers.  Trying to figure out her fall/winter "wardrobe."  We live in Colorado so it gets cold.  She will be 6 months old next month.  What will/did your winter baby wear?  Long sleeve onesies with pants?  Babylegs?  Jackets?  What about feet - socks, booties, shoes?  Just looking for ideas before I start shopping the upcoming consignment sales!  TIA!

  • DD was 6 mo in Dec outside of Boston. We used the shower cap style bumdleme. She wore a winter hat. Socks were hard to stay on so we put robeez over them and they never slipped off. She wore outfits from carters with the onesie, fleece coat, pants and she wore a lot of dresses with warm tights.
We never used any coats besides a couple of times we played outside because they are no-no in car seats. DD stayed cozy in her car seat.

  • Usually she wore a onesie/shirt (mostly long-sleeve, sometimes not) with tights or pants and a sweater. I didn't bother buying shoes for her at that stage - she just wore socks, and I thiiink I also had a pair of robeez. When we were outside walking the dog, etc, we also had a full body fleece suit (where the feet and hands fold over to cover said appendages), and various toques (what do you Americans call them?) her aunt knit her. That was really it, I think......

  • mostly long sleeve onsies, pants, and socks. She always wore a light fleece jacket when we went out for the car. We kept her winter jacket in the car.
