DD prefers neither. She was good with the Soothie (we had the Wubbanub) for about two or three weeks and then just did not want it anymore. We tried the Gumdrop and that was not accepted. She loves Nuk.
The nipples on our Soothies and Gumdrops are the same, so DD2 took them interchangeably. I think she was able to keep the Gumdrops in her mouth more easily because they cut under her nose, as opposed to the round Soothie that covered her nose.
Ultimately, though, both of my girls preferred the MAM pacifiers after about 4 months.

Mine will take either, but I like the gumdrops because I use them when I put him to bed, and they stay with him better when he sleeps since they fit to his face. He's a wiggler and he tends to knock the soothies out of his mouth.
