Weight loss

So I gained 40+ pounds with this pregnancy. So far I have lost 25 pounds in two weeks (not purposely) I am BF, eating healthy and drinking a ton of water. I haven't started working out yet but I am excited to start after I am a little less sleep deprived. Any other ladies want to share any weight loss progress?

  • I just had my LO 4 days ago so I'm sure I haven't lost that much yet but it's so interesting how fast the weight comes off. My belly is barely noticeable at this point and I gained 50 pounds while pregnant. I even have a waist line again :)

    I've completely changed my eating habits already.Excited to start working out again.

  • I'm not sure exactly how much I've lost so far because I don't own a scale, but I was 31 lbs up the day I delivered, and I think I'm probably about 10 lbs short of where I normally am at this point. It's weird how my belly went down pretty quickly (it's already pretty flat at 16 days pp) but my legs and hips gained enough that I still can't fit in any of my pants. :(
  • I gained 25lb and have lost 23 of it 9 days after birth. I'm shocked but happy! Still have the pooch though.. I think that may be more of a challenge.

  • Jealous!! 6 days pp, bfing, and I'm still swollen in the legs and hands!! Plus I still look 5 mo pregnant. Ugh!! Hopefully by week 2 ill feel good enough to go Lon longer walks/ lite jogging.
  • I gained about 45lbs. I've lost 25 so far due to birth, extra fluid, and BFing. I actually don't feel bad at this weight, I just want to get rid of the pooch!

  • I don't know how much I weigh today, but last week I was only 18 lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight, so I've lost 24 lbs. I have 18 to go. My concern is that my naturally wide hips widened even more and I can't even get into my first trimester pants, because they won't pull up. I also still have the pooch.

    I am BFing and walking about 20-30 mins a day. I can't do more than that now.

  • I gained 30lbs and I'm down 20 already in two weeks. Just bf and eating at home drinking a whole bunch of water
  • I gained 30 and after two weeks I had lost all of it! I was completely shocked, it's got to be from breast feeding though! I definitely can't wait to start running again. 2 more weeks till OB will clear me for excersising and sex!! Whooo
  • I gained a little over 30 and lost twenty. The last fourteen is hanging on. But at the sametime. Being a single parent makes it hard to actually eat a healthy meal since you know. My ds freaks if i set him down and his pnp is only acceptable at night time

  • The only positive thing about having GD, was that I only gained 10 lbs. I left the hospital weighing less than when I got pregnant. I still have weight to lose from my last pregnancy though.

  • I only gained 23 lbs, last I checked I had lost 14... I'm 3 weeks pp. just breastfeeding I guess. Plus it took me about 3 full days to eat anything after c/s so maybe that helped.

    IUI # 1 Nov 24
    BFP Dec 8! EDD Aug 17th, due to Preeclampsia and HELLP, Kylie Penelope was born July 30th!


  • I had severe swelling after my cs, so bad I had a blood clot and couldn't bend my knees 45 degrees. I was given a 5 day RX for Lasix to help the swelling and I lost 38lbs in those 5 days. I think I'm down about 45 lbs total. I stopped keeping track of how much I was weighing but if I had to guess, I might have 5-10lbs before I'm back to normal. I'm 18 days post OP.

  • I gained 25 and I'm down 15... I'm bf'ing and drinking a ton of water... Lo is 3 weeks and it seems like I might have to fight the last 10 off!
  • I was up 31 lbs the day before I delivered. Three days later, I am down 14lbs total, which is what I had guessed.

    If it goes like previous pregnancies, I will lose another 5lbs over the next week.

    Belly wise, I lose a month a day right now. After I delivered, I looked about 8 months pregnant. Now I look about 5. Can't wait four this belly to go away! :)

  • I gained 60 lb so far lost 35 lb BFing, walking, eating small portions, and drinking only water
  • I gained 50+ lbs this pregnancy. I was totally frustrated because I tried to eat healthy, but I was so nauseous and the only thing that helped was snacking on carbs... Pretty much continuously. I am down 25lbs so far but I can't wait until I get the go ahead to start running again. While I am appreciative of all of the hard work my body has done over the last 9 months, I just don't feel comfortable with the weight I am now. I'm also EBF, drinking tons of water, and eating well.

     

  • Gained about 28, down 18. 10 more to go at 2 weeks pp. My belly is so jiggly even though most of the weight is gone.

  • Down 30lbs since they weighed me at L & D...belly was back to almost normal right after delivery, just looked like I was bloated from being that time of the month...I haven't even begun to work out, my Jillian Michaels DVD stares at me every morning and I'm still giving her the stink eye...I haven't felt up to working out AT ALL :(

  • Gained 20 and am down 17 at two weeks pp. No diet, just breastfeeding. I can't wait to start working out though to tone up my stomach. My arms are definitely getting toned from holding LO. Clothes are still fitting funny.

  • I'm 8w PP. I gained 60lbs w the twins and am down 45-50lbs. I look the same from the back, but still have a pooch. I started running 2 weeks ago.

    I'm EBFing so I'm not going crazy w the diet and exercise. I've gotta produce upwards of 50 oz a day just to keep up w them.

  • OB told me I'd likely lose 20 lbs in 3 weeks, just from water weight. If last time was any indication, I was below pre-pg weight withing a month-ish- definitely from BFing, and eating at home! This time vie gained about 30 lbs I believe and still have an inside baby... We'll soon see how big he is!

  • I am truly amazed at what my body has done so far. I gained 40 and I am already down 25 just from breast feeding. I have been walking a bit but nothing too crazy. My belly is about 90% back to where it was before. I am 1 week 4 days PP.

  • 15 days PP and I'm down 24lbs. I gained 35. Only 11 to go until pre-preg weight but I'd like to lose an additional 20-25.

    I'm happy with the loss so far but my stomach still looks (and feels) like a damn deflated balloon. I hate it. I'm worried that this is my new normal vs things still needing to shrink down.

    I plan to start walking this week and after my 6 week check up I will start some kind of exercise routine.

  • I gained 40 and I'm less than 10 away from my pre-preg weight, however I'd like to lose another 10+ to get to my ideal size.
    No dieting, just pumping and drinking lots of water.

    3 weeks PP.

  • I still have an inside baby but I've gained 18lbs with a week possibly two to go. I hope for no more gain but I seem to be gaining quickly the last few weeks even with increased activity, increased water, and being more aware of my eating. I guess my body needs it *shrug*. Hopefully it comes off quickly!

  • I gained 28 pounds and 1 week pp I'm down 15. I had a csection so no working out for me yet.

  • I gained about 35 lbs. I have lost 30 @ 2.5 weeks. I feel great trying to get out and walk daily. As well as eat healthy and drink lots of water.

  • Gained 45. 1 week PP and I'm down 21.
  • I gained 48 pounds and have lost 24 so far. The weight was melting off for the first few weeks and then has stalled out.
    I've started walking and doing yoga despite having a c/s. I feel fine tho and am fortunate with how easy my recoverys been. Just need to figure out how to get over this plateau!

  • Gained 20lb during pregnancy, down 25lb 17d PP. My stomach Is still looking like bread dough, but oh well.

    I want to lose another 20lb to get down to a healthier weight.
