AW: I am sad.

The breast feeding group I've been attending since E was little has gotten wildly popular. The hospital director decided to ask moms of babies older than 9 months to not come any more (I.e., we were kicked out). My favorite LC was tearing up when she passed on the news. It was really sad. :/

And I just want to whine about it.

    I'm sorry to hear that :( it's sad to think we aren't "new moms" anymore.

    I'm sorry, that's terrible! :( I like @PenelopePond's idea though. Most of you with the older kids don't likely need the LC anymore, could you plan your own things?

    The hospital BFing support group I was/am a part of "graduates" moms and babies around their first birthday, but does hold a couple alumni events during the year. I agree though sad day :( hopefully you have made some friends who will meet regularly outside the official group.

    We do try to have play dates and get togethers, so I'm thankful for those. We don't get to attend much any more because of napping, but it's better than nothing.

    There was a night meeting to accommodate working moms and I was really looking forward to going more regularly when I go back to work, but they canceled that one altogether.

    This is what I was going to ask. What if all of you who got kicked out meet elsewhere? I was in a breastfeeding support group, then I had to return to work and couldn't make the AM meetings. But I still get together with women from the group. It's important to have ongoing support.
