sreaming baby

my 14mnth old daughter screams all the time.  when she's upset, happy, excited, etc.  it gets old.  sometimes not giving it any attention makes her stop, other times it doesn't.  anyone have any thoughts on how to correct this? help is appreciated

Re: sreaming baby

  • Ive mentally screamed many mean mommy things in my head so many times since he has started doing this. I think he has forgotten about it more now that he has more tricks that he does.

When he gets on a screaming kick we go outside where is really entertained whether Im right down playing with him or not. I would rather live outside than listen to that all day and when he does do it, it's less grating since it's great to be loud outside.

I dont have alot of help, but that is the one trick Ive learned for us.

  • we are in the same boat here. i have been saying "we don't scream" all day long and put my finger to my lips and say "shhhhhh." i also have him signing "please" when he is screaming for something. it has definitely been better, but i know we have a long way to go... i agree with the getting old part. my DH and i are over all his screaming and not sure when this behavior even started.
